Any word of change from the 10/4-10/10 people??

I don't expect 10/4-10/10 people to see their phones till October. Maybe a day or two earlier, but the way those shipping times dropped like a rock so quickly, I'm expecting those dates to hold true.

This is exactly what happened to me. The app isn't always the answer, at least not this time. I'm also AT&T and when the app finally did load, about ten minutes after the hour, it kept getting hung up on the handshake with AT&T. I eventually moved to the website and was able to get my order through there with a 2:26 am confirmation email and 10/4-10/10 shipping window. However, based on prior years' experience, I'm betting we'll still get ours on release date. I think Apple is very conservative and would rather reduce our expectations and exceed them.

I bet you don't.

Its funny how people who ordered really early are in this weird bind and some people who ordered 10+min later to an hour are getting it launch day, according to an Apple Chat rep, they are suppose to go by order. So answer me this how does someone who ordered for example 3:02 get it Late September vs someone who ordered at around 3:15 but get it launch day? That doesn't sound like order to me.

Probably different variants.

In other times I could've expected to get it on friday and still have my hopes but seeing the short stock I doubt it.

The weird thing has me thinking, people keep buying phones and my model 7+ 128gb Black matte Tmobile and still says the same 2-3 weeks to ship same as mine and ordered at 2:15 CST. So are we gonna see it on friday or monday? Could be that they put a big cushion on our dates so people don't freak out and go crazy and still deliver and be as a king.

What crashes my hopes is that I talked to a rep about a problem with my case and just asked hey whats with this dates and she kindly offered to ask her manager and said that 4-10 of October was the fifth wave. So that crushes my hopes a little since we haven't seen movements from people outside the sept 16 delivery window.

Could be but one guy came in here ordered at 9am thats about 6hrs gap, and I highly doubt that variant had that good of a stock for him to get it 9/16, I just personally think apples system is a cluster mess, hopefully I can still get mines at launch.

I agree. I think that the later shipping estimates will be pretty accurate: maybe a week earlier than estimated, but not much more than that.

I just got off the phone with AT&T order support. The rep I spoke with, quite nice actually, said that though my order states the shipping date is 10/13 - 10/20 that they are expecting it to ship out earlier. He also stated he couldn't say give me anymore details until the 16th.

He did offer to change my color order (Jet Black) and he would guarantee me first shipment on a new color but I declined. He said to check the status on the 16th and they should update it.

The pre-auth/payment has already gone through, so fingers crossed it will surprise me at work soon.

I would suggest just having a little patience. Two years ago I was in the October delivery window after ordering with a confirmation 6 minutes after the hour. After going through a week of angst just like you are, lo and behold, my phone showed up on the Friday opening day. I find it hard to believe with the experience they have with these launches that people who ordered in the first hour won't be getting them this Friday, but we'll see. Unfortunately, everyone who doubts me won't be here on Friday. Once theirs arrives, this forum becomes a ghost town until next time.

On the website right now, it's 2-3 weeks just like us. I expect the 10/4 - 10/10 to move up. I've been preordering for years and that's always the case. Apple is super conservative with their ship dates.
