Had the dreaded "Fraud Alert" from the bank today. Seems like Apple decided to hit the card twice for two different amount instead of one total amount. First one was approved, second was denied for fraud. Fix it with the bank easily, less than 5 min.

Called 1-800-My-Apple and spent almost 2 hours on the phone, 1:30hrs+ on hold. Apparently they transfer me to the wrong place twice and the customer service agent were holding with me. Pretty nice for the agent to get paid to be on hold with the customer for an hour, nice work break at Apple. Once I reached the right department, took less than 15 minutes to fix the problem...

NOW thats a shipping date that's gonna take a while, my guess is with that date you're looking at first 10 days in october, not a day sooner....just my opinion

I'd say 1-1.5 weeks past launch date. See my signature for my 2014 iPhone 6+ order times.

For everyone mentioning getting a T-Mobile or another carrier phone and dropping your sim in, apparently you cant. Someone mentioned this in another thread and I couldn't believe it. I looked on apples site and here is what I saw

SIM Card
  • Nano-SIM
  • iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are not compatible with existing micro-SIM cards.

... Looks like Ill have to visit ATT after I get my phone on Friday so they can swap my line with my Wife's and then when the other phone comes in, do the same. I wonder if Apple is using the Apple sim or a better sim card that can withstand water? I know usually phones that go through water will be fine but the sim card always get ruined in my experience. Waiting for hands on review reviews wednesday/thursday to see if thats the case.

Approx how many phones are even on one plane?
Why does it really matter? It all depends on the aircraft used, number of containers loaded, allocated space for iPhone freight, etc. its not like Apple chartered a FedEx or UPS plane to just haul iPhones. Some of these question really make you wonder.

On the website right now, it's 2-3 weeks just like us. I expect the 10/4 - 10/10 to move up. I've been preordering for years and that's always the case. Apple is super conservative with their ship dates.

it doesn't make sense people keep ordering and still same as us the firsts at midnight. Thats weird isn't it?

I think it says that it accepts Nano sim cards and doesn't accept micro sim cards.

I would suggest just having a little patience. Two years ago I was in the October delivery window after ordering with a confirmation 6 minutes after the hour. After going through a week of angst just like you are, lo and behold, my phone showed up on the Friday opening day. I find it hard to believe with the experience they have with these launches that people who ordered in the first hour won't be getting them this Friday, but we'll see. Unfortunately, everyone who doubts me won't be here on Friday. Once theirs arrives, this forum becomes a ghost town until next time.

Ill still be here!

I have heard that they can fit almost 450k per 747 plane.
