These ordering problems are not directly limited stock but limited manufacturing. Steve Jobs would ramp up production on the phones sooner and the stock would fair much better for odds on anyone within the first hour or two receiving theirs. Tim fully believes in reduced stock. That indirectly translates to starting production later and producing for demand. Sure, after all of this, stock will be available in stores, but not as many are available in stores as there used to be.

For the record, I too bad issues using the app at opening. About 15 mins worth. Verification came in at 3:22 EST for an Oct 4-10 delivery. Now, I've never seen someone order in the first 30 minutes and not get it on launch day but this will be the year. It will get here when it gets here. I check email for the sake of email and potential charging issues but I won't mash the refresh button.
I ordered the iPhone 6plus silver at 12:04 2 years ago and didn't get it until 3 days after launch. I wasn't mad.

Mine is 7+ 128 Jet black Verizon order #W55.... Took forever to complete this transaction because I had completed my spouse's transaction first. That phone will arrive this Friday, but it is not mine. I bet I will just unwrap the box, play with it and never give it back till October LOL. I do not care what my spouse thinks at this point!

You stayed up and ordered it, yours first. Also, is she big into tech / a new phone like you are? I am assuming no because you stayed up for it so I think its fair. I told my spouse im getting whatever phone ships first and she said fine, cause I stayed up late and I care a lot more than she does.

See I'm not mad either. I did get mine at launch but used the app with a similar to yours. I'm more shocked on how fast the times got pushed back. But like I said it'll get here. I ordered the black 128GB plus. It'll get here at some point. The only one inconvenienced is my wife who will get my 6+. Time to upgrade her 5.

Iphone7 matte black 128 ordered 1:25am on preorder day on the app--credit approved 2:28am. Showing delivery 9/16 just showed up in my profile with a serial #. I think this may be my first launch day phone. Not my usual luck.

Interesting. I ordered the same phone and got confirmation at :13. Which carrier did you order?

I too was taken back by how fast they seemed to run out of stock and have the date pushed back.

Got this email from Apple. But when i contact Apple and Verizon neither of the two understand why. Cause they both show that i am good on their end. They both told me to keep waiting till my shipping confirmation to come in.

32GB 7+ Black ordered at 3:20 eastern. Delivery on order is 9/27 - 9/29.

Still processing.

Doubt I'll see it this week.
Digest color but same date range and I'm with you I think we will see them next week but will be shocked if anyone sees that date or later any sooner! I ordered at the smart time!
