I've had similar "delivery date" issues in the past but ended up getting it on release date..

I mean, if Apple has such low supply for such a popular item, they need to seriously start thinking of either building more factories to push them out or push the "official delivery date" further out.. It really frustrates people..
hold me to it, but im doubtful...i think saturday-tuesday for me and i ordered 9 mins after went live

I know mine will be delivered Friday, no doubt about that. Client just threw a wrench into the plans though-have to fly from AZ to California Thursday night. Going to use UPS to redirect to the hotel I'll be staying in...so now I'm actually anxious because I need to catch it before it's on a plane from Louisville to Phoenix.

Still really annoyed that I was able to order my 6 around 6:00EST two years ago and get release day shipping, but I order my 7+ at 3:20EST this year and have to wait 1-2 weeks. -___-

In for a 7+ 128GB Matte Black, ordered at 3AM EST on preorder day.

Only option that was available is in-store pick up, it says online that its ready for pick up on the 16th but the order is still processing. Anyone had experience with this before? Is it 100% confirmed that I will have it on launch day?

You should be good if you're in Processing.

Ordered 3 iPhones that night..

Unlocked JetBlack 128Gb 7 Plus
Unlocked Black 128Gb 7 Plus
Unlocked Gold 128 7 Plus

All orders, I had to go through the AT&T setup even though I got the Unlocked version and received an error screen saying they'd e-mail me when they would be able to connect to AT&T servers and that "My iPhone was reserved". This was literally within seconds of the Apple Store App being available to make the purchase.

I tried again for 2 of the phones and it "connected" to AT&T servers this time with the Black pushed at the time pushed to Oct 3rd-Oct 10th and the Gold is Sept 27th or so.

When I finally got the e-mail to "continue the transaction" for the Jet Black 128Gb one, I was given a date of Sep 26th-Oct 3rd. I did this after literally hitting F5 to refresh the Shop iPhone 7 page and going as quickly as I possibly could to get to the screen where I would be given the Ship Date which already was on the 26th. I never even saw a September 16th date for the JetBlack 128Gb..

No phones show on any profile, no tracking through UPS and all orders show Still Processing.

A friend of mine, same exact timing as me, Verizon 128Gb JetBlack 7 Plus, finished his order at around 12:10AM PST and was given a date of Oct 16th..

Honestly, I don't believe any of these dates and I think that everyone who got online at least within 30 minutes of ordering (the JetBlack at least..) will get them on Launch Date.

I'll post an update here if I get any updates..

I ordered an iPhone 7 Plus 256GB Silver from Apple.com and received my confirmation at 12:36 AM Pacific. This is after I struggled with getting ApplePay to work through the app for +15 minutes and having to switch to Apple.com website. For some reason, I can never get the app or site to load before 12:07 AM. My delivery date is 9/27 - 9/29. When I started the check out process it was still showing 9/16. I think the stock must be really low for the larger capacities or production forecast was really low. Hence, Apple announcing they will not disclose opening weekend success. They may not have the inventory on hand to surpass the iPhone 6s last year. I'm not sure if the planning also flowed over to the App and Website demand. This was by far the worse experience I've had pre-ordering. Does that mean the demand was higher than previous years or higher than planned? Hmmm.... we may not know until Apple's quarterly financials.

Somewhere in my head
These ordering problems are not directly limited stock but limited manufacturing. Steve Jobs would ramp up production on the phones sooner and the stock would fair much better for odds on anyone within the first hour or two receiving theirs. Tim fully believes in reduced stock. That indirectly translates to starting production later and producing for demand. Sure, after all of this, stock will be available in stores, but not as many are available in stores as there used to be.

For the record, I too bad issues using the app at opening. About 15 mins worth. Verification came in at 3:22 EST for an Oct 4-10 delivery. Now, I've never seen someone order in the first 30 minutes and not get it on launch day but this will be the year. It will get here when it gets here. I check email for the sake of email and potential charging issues but I won't mash the refresh button.
