All 3 of my phones are out in the wild. The last one I was waiting for was the AT&T order which was finally created this morning.

Good point. I purchase mine outright, but many want the upgrade plans, and they'd be locked out of getting one in store if they can't cancel the original order.

Wow, you have one quoted for 9/27-29 and it'll be there the 16th? Nice! I have a Gold 7+ 256 9/16 and will be here 9/16 but also have a Silver 7+ 128GB (the one I really wanted) 9/27-29 and hasn't even charged yet, let alone shipped. Wish mine were reversed, haha

it gave me the option as soon as I logged into my ups, I'm not sure if it went through its still showing my current address but either way I will have someone at the house waiting for them if they do get delivered to my house and not my office.

Yes! This! Mine couldn't care less if she got it Friday or next month. I'm over here checking everywhere every few minutes, desperate for a glimmer of hope. It sure seems like they aren't bumping any orders up.

Here's what is going on with my 7 Plus (128 GB, Black):

Anybody else have a 4:49 PM departure from ZhengZhou? Not sure if my phone is going to Shenzhen, and then onto Anchorage... or if it's going to Incheon, and then Anchorage. According to Wikipedia, UPS does fly from ZhengZhou, but only to Incheon.

I probably should stop trying to play Magnum P.I. with my iPhone and get back to work. But it's just so fun. :p

Some would recommend not cancelling until you have one from the store in hand. The problem with that is once your pre-order switches to preparing for shipment you can't cancel and you may end up with 2 charges on your credit card for a while. If that doesn't concern you I would not cancel until you have a phone. If your shipment date is the 16th you will get your phone regardless of lack of movement today. I've read here on previous launches that some people get their phone delivered and the online order still says processing.

I did this at att for the six. My preorder got delayed and found one in the store. As soon as I had it in hand I cancelled the preorder and they reset my eligibility. Walked out of the store with a phone. Not my color choice but I case it anyway.

Has anyone got to the "Shipped" stage? Or got a tracking number officially(not by entering the order # without the last two digits or phone number on UPS)?
 
I ordered a Black iPhone 7, Verizon; confirmation email sent at 12:11am and still haven't received any shipping updates. Even if I reference search UPS Does anyone know if there is a chance apple uses FedEx as well? Or just UPS.
 
Hoping 9/16 delivery is actually happening. Sounds kind of iffy. I do have a phone and serial # in profile so fingers crossed. Mine is just a matte black 7.

Every single iPhone that I have ordered from Apple ever since the CDMA model of the iPhone 4 launched in 2011 has been shipped with UPS. I'm pretty sure they have some kind of exclusivity deal IIRC, could be wrong.

My iPhone 7 (not plus) package wt is .6kg so that sounds like your phone although I have no idea what the watch weighs.

I've done it on Michigan Ave. in the past. I didn't have a reservation . . . in my experience if you are there early in the morning (7:00 – 7:30 AM at the latest no need to camp out) and can be away from work and stand there you will more than likely get a phone. Usually after that initial morning wave they sell out or only have reservations left. Same was true of ATT (flagship store also on Michigan Ave.). Also they have usually been very transparent about letting people know if the number of those in line exceeds their supply that morning.

I say if you have the time and don't mind waiting go for it!
