It seems that Apple is making iPhones to order this time around with a minimum of pre made devices, and like others my order was placed a few minutes after the preorder opened, and then Apple begins producing the order once the order is placed, as opposed to having it already produced. Since my order did not ship until the 14th, Apple can then create the device and ship within the delivery time frame, in my case the 16th.
This is just my theory, but it makes sense from a manufacturing standpoint.

Has anyone got to the "Shipped" stage? Or got a tracking number officially(not by entering the order # without the last two digits or phone number on UPS)?

I was able to get my tracking info by entering my phone's serial number in My UPS. I use the tracking number now to look up progress. Mine says in transit and arriving 9/16. It left Anchorage around midnight. My Apple order continues to say Preparing for shipment. It probably won't change to shipped until tomorrow based on previous experience. I was able to change delivery to pick up the hub.

Here's what is going on with my 7 Plus (128 GB, Black):

Anybody else have a 4:49 PM departure from ZhengZhou? Not sure if my phone is going to Shenzhen, and then onto Anchorage... or if it's going to Incheon, and then Anchorage. According to Wikipedia, UPS does fly from ZhengZhou, but only to Incheon.

I probably should stop trying to play Magnum P.I. with my iPhone and get back to work. But it's just so fun. :p
Mine was this one too just updated as leaving Incheon Korea flight UPS99 Korea should be arriving in Alaska at 1:16 PM AKDT

That's always how it's been... Many people keep asking the same stupid question.. why don't they make these earlier so there's more supply.... two reasons:

- Electronics: it's a instant out game. Nobody says coming in 6 months anymore.. when technology is announced people want it now or almost now, and the more time passes between announcement and launch, the more stale it is... Why would Apple make phones for 3 months and stock pile them? That's unearned cash flow. Not smart.

- Software: iOS 10.. need I say more? The new phones require it, and until a week ago there wasn't even a release version available to install on the newly-manufactured phones. iOS always coincides with new phone releases as the new phones won't run on old phones... so even if they start production long in advance, they can only get so far until they need the software installed, tested, etc, and then can ship.

NICE! Just checked and mine left Incheon too! Our phones are buddies on the flight! :)

If our phones stay on that flight, it looks to be gassing up in Alaska and then heading on to the World Hub in Louisville, arriving at 12:49 AM EDT.

Any update from the 10/4-10/10 people??

I'll post it one last time since I feel as if I'm the only one 10/4-10/10 who had any sort of movement:

Matte Black 7+ 128gb thru Apple Store app w/ AT&T. 2-3 weeks, 10/4-10/10. confirmation email at 3:15edt.

My ETA switched from 9/16 at checkout to 10/4-10/10 as soon as the email came in.

Yesterday morning (9/13) I updated my "shipping email" to a more current one, and when I saved it, both my Orders page on Apple.com and the email notification showed a bumped ETA of 9/30-10/6. I checked a few hours later in the afternoon and it slipped back to 10/4-10/10.

If you live on the West Coast (Southern California to be exact), will they still ship my phone to Louisville, or Ontario?

Every phone I've ever ordered living in CA (both San Diego and San Francisco) have gone through Louisville (UPS) or Memphis (FedEx)... I don't think they use Ontario much except for overnight west to west shipments anymore. It's much more cost effective to route everything through one sort, no matter how odd it seems to go cross country and back.

Have we seen any tracking originating from the states yet? Kind of unusual they all seem to be coming from China, usually a few hubs have a ton of stock as well pre placed.

I have the same time as well. 7+ Silver though.
Mine just updated and shows it just left Incheon, Korea about 45 mins ago. It'll probably be in alaska by this late afternoon and then Kentucky by tonight or tomorrow morning.

My phone left China last night and now at noon it has made a pit stop in Korea. Not sure where it is headed from here.
My phone is with yours and they're probably headed to alaska now.

I'm sharing in your misery w/ the exact same info!
Same here. No movement on my 128 GB Rose Gold from AT&T. I'm slowly losing hope. No charge on my CC and doesn't show up in my Apple profile either. Only movement is that AT&T recognizes that I upgraded to this and that was yesterday late afternoon they recognized it.

What kind of makes me a little ticked is that my buddy who stayed up with me that night ordered the same phone through Apple but has Verizon as a carrier and he ordered an hour after me due to account problems he was having, is getting his on Friday. :(
same thing here- same dates 7+128 matte black, AT&T recognized it yesterday as my upgrade. But still processing and no shipping info on UPS and in my support profile.

I was able to get my serial number but where in MyUPS did you put the serial to get the shipping info? On Apple's website I have preparing for shipment but it says Delivers by Sept. 16....how are you all getting your tracking numbers?

I think they just completely skipped the 9/27-9/29 and went straight to the 10's!!!

Hi folks, I need help knowing if my 7+ is the right model and if this is the right info? So I am signing up for the Apple iPhone Upgrade Plan. So here's my crazy story:

So I spoke to Apple over the phone, they told me to go to the store for T-Mobile. I got there and the store told me to come back Friday to scan a physical phone. They said I can order a phone (which I did) and then come back to do a "closed box return" to get converted to the Upgrade Program. I am looking at a 128gb Matte Black GSM model, but it doesn't indicate T-Mobile online. So would anyone know if this is the right track? Thanks.

Checked my email and my order was placed at 12:24am (3:24am est) and I have an estimated delivery of 10/4-10/10.

128gb black 6 plus. Order is w51.

I find that kind of odd that my order is still processing when I ordered quite early. Haven't been charged or anything. Really hoping it updates soon :/
