Sorry, might have been a bit harsh... just gets tiring seeing the same questions over and over within the same thread. And over and over launch after launch. Would be nice if the forum had a wiki, for the questions like UPS reference tracking, when charged, when shipped, delivery date accuracy, links to plane tracking... just seems so redundant... 5700 posts and counting and maybe 50 have useful information. We know anyone who has a September 16 delivery is in transit, we don't need to know where everyone's is. LOL

I decided not to check status of my order anymore. Is a waste of time since I have MyUPS choice business account that sends me notification even if a label is created with my address on it and apple store shipping notification on. But I won'y leave this thread ....too much fun.

To add to that, if people with 9/27 - 9/29 dates (I'm in this group) have their statuses changed to Preparing For Shipment by this weekend, you will not be able to cancel their order nor purchase a phone in store unless you pay for the phone outright. That said, if our status does change to prepping for shipment by Friday/Saturday, our phones should be delivered no later than Tuesday/Wednesday next week.

Depends on the carrier, for the iphone 6 i preordered but super late, anyway i drove to the store on launch day like 6 hours before the actual store opening and i canclled the order and it took just 5 minutes to clear and i got the one i wanted, Btw it was AT&T

I would check the other threads.. some people are setting tracking based on there delivery dates.

That's part of the fun for me in this forum. I like knowing where everyones phone is, and seeing the excitement as they post here and let everyone know their phone has arrived in Alaska, Hong Kong, BFE, the Amazon.

I ordered at midnight and its supposed to be here friday, but order status still says "Preparing for shipment".

I was able to get my tracking info by entering my phone's serial number in My UPS. I use the tracking number now to look up progress. Mine says in transit and arriving 9/16. It left Anchorage around midnight. My Apple order continues to say Preparing for shipment. It probably won't change to shipped until tomorrow based on previous experience. I was able to change delivery to pick up the hub.

how were you able to get your serial number for a device you dont have?

Well if your delivery date is Sep 16, it's very very likely that you will get your iPhone on that day.

NICE! Just checked and mine left Incheon too! Our phones are buddies on the flight!

If our phones stay on that flight, it looks to be gassing up in Alaska and then heading on to the World Hub in Louisville, arriving at 12:49 AM EDT.

Hmm the pending charge on the credit card dropped. Order status is still processing and the delivery date is Sep 20-22.

My iPhone still shows "Preparing for Shipment" on Apple's website. How are you guys tracking it through UPS?

Mine says that too but mine actually shipped on 9/11 and is sitting in Louisville. I think Apple keeps it that way as a security measure. I looked mine up using my billing number on ups in the track by reference and it's there. I also checked the Apple support file and it's there as well. I will have mine Friday. Gold 256gb 7+ att

I suggest setting up a MyChoice UPS account (it's free). I find that easier and more reliable than the reference number approach since it's based on your address.

I don't think im getting at launch I was 13 min after site opened. my friend same exact config gets his a week before my even though he ordered 12 min after I did. Figure that one out Apple Support couldn't.
