Hmm how long did you guys stay at preparing for shipment mines been this way since yesterday 1:30 pm which is a step I a right direction with 04/10 dates

Still no movement for me with my random 7th-14th October date. My own fault I guess for being indecisive. I ordered the 7 32gb first and had launch day pickup, then the 7 128 gb and again with launch day pick up, then changed my mind on the Saturday and went to the 7+ 128 and got quoted that shipping date above.

Ordered black 7+ 256gb on 9/9 at 3:38AM ET. Original delivery dates were Sept 23rd - 27th.
Got shipping and tracking e-mail this morning from Apple and UPS.
UPS tracking says it's scheduled to deliver on Tuesday the 20th. Apple's delivery dates haven't changed. Still says 23rd - 27th.

FYI. There is a back door to being able to pickup your new iPhone 7 at an apple store if you'd like.
My experience.. I preordered my iPhone 7+ 128gb Black 9/9 @ 3:11am EST. Got the dreaded ship date of 10/4-10/10. My wife's which I ordered after that one will arrive Monday. I saw a few people post in this thread this morning they were picking it up via reservation so I checked once again on Apple.com to realize it still said not available to pickup in store (no stock). Then I saw a link someone posted here right to the reservation page and to my surprise when I went via that link it showed availability for my desired phone.
None the less, my point is try going directly via reservation instead of the shopping pages. Worked for me. I'm typing this on my new iPhone7+ 256gb Black

Nice!! Can't wait to get mine either... so now that it is in your hands.. can you say that it's a little nicer/better than the 6s? I'm still getting it, just wondering if other than the color has made a difference... also, you got that link for instore reservations you can share?
I guess take it back to an Apple Store so they can process the return or via phone call to apple and ship it back. THEN order the plus and be prepared to wait til nov or dec.
Can you have the phone set to pick up at a UPS center anytime before it goes "out for delivery" or is there some other cutoff?

My AT&T Rose Gold 128GB iPhone 7Plus was Preparing for Shipment for 3 days and this morning I got an email from Apple that it had shipped. Apple says it will arrive on Thursday 9/22 but UPS tracking says Wednesday 9/21 by the end of the day. I ordered on Monday 9/12 at noon and at that time my order said Delivers by 9/28-9/30. Too bad we're leaving for Las Vegas on Wednesday but I will have it Sunday when we get home.
I pre-ordered my iPhone sometime after 3AM but got a delivery date of 18-31st of October. I just checked the status & it says preparing for shipment but the delivery dates remain the same. Is it a mistake or is it possible that the dates will update once they ship the phone?
