Preparing to shipment. October 10 to 17th date. Order went through at 12:16. AT&T Jet black 128gb 7 plus. Bought full priced.

I've seen that in prior years here and mine did that as well. The tracking headline goes from "In Transit to UPS" to "In Transit: On-Time". So I assume this is a non-UPS trucking firm picking up the phones/pallets from the factory and taking them to a UPS facility at the airport.

I think you're right. I took a look at the flights that are visible at least on FlightAware out of ZhengZhou and I don't see anything heading to Anchorage, Seoul, Japan, or anywhere that remotely resembles a dedicated freight route. Certainly no American carriers that i've seen. They must be on a connecting truck/plane/train/yak... Whatever.

The thought has even occurred to me that the status might show they are in China for a while and then automatically update when they are finally in the states, wherever that might be.

Some people are saying on here that their phones have said preparing for shipment for 3+ days.

Mine was 48 hours.

Yeah, I've seen the same experience with others who ordered about 2:16AM CST and 2:08am CST. That were prepare for shipment rather than mine.

I think it's slightly random, cause as you mentioned you finished at 3:12 ES.

I think for sure yours will be prepare :)

I ordered mine on the 10th around 9pm EST, and mine finally shipped. I got the 256 7+ Silver, Verizon.

Curious if anyone picked up at their local Apple store was met with any fanfare and excitement. Or was it kind of a busy mess?

Original delivery date black plus 256 9/27-29. Today I get email saying shipped. New delivery date 9/18 by end of day. That was a big surprise.

Thanks for sharing. I hope you get yours too on Monday. It's weird that there was a departure scan from airport but no arrival scan to local UPS CC. But I know for sure it should have arrived because my friend who got the Saturday delivery scan showed it arrived 45 min after the departure scan and the. Was out for delivery soon after. I hope the reason it hasn't updated in the system is because the CC is closed on weekends and no one is here to scan and update the system. Let me know of your status on Monday if you got your phone.

I'll let you know. I think it is there, the CC is only about 20 minutes from the airport. They probably just haven't scanned it in yet. I'm expecting it to go to ready to pick up early tomorrow morning!

I will say this. This iPhone 7 Plus is alright and all that; but am yet to see that I need it (using it currently). I could save a $1000; on the fence...

I have the iPhone 7+ 128GB Matte Black preparing for shipment.

My original ship date was Oct. 4 - Oct. 10

Let's hope it comes this week!!

Been preparing for shipment for over 24 hours and I can't track on UPS yet. Can't remember how long the wife's phone was preparing for shipment before I tried the UPS reference number trick but I wanna see some movement!

Again, it was awhile ago, but UPS does not fly directly from ZhengZhou. They use a local carrier to get to a main UPS center.

FlightAware doesn't always show freighters. I'm using FlightRadar24 and it shows, before 9AM local, a 737F to Shenzhen at 4:10 am, a 737F to Shanghai at 4:20, and a 747F to Hahn at 7:15 (not counting any shipments to Europe).
