iPhone 7/7+ Apple.com Pre-Order Thread

I'm going to give it one more week from today and if my order still shows processing then I'll cancel the order. I understand there are millions out there that have ordered, but preordering a product should entail that those who preorder get the product before the general population can traipse into a store and pick one up on a whim.

my phone departed hong kong at 7:12 pm and is on its way to Anchorage. Lets assume, UPS tracking is correct and the phone reaches my area tomorrow (saturday). Will there be a delivery attempt? If not, am I allowed to pick it up from their facility and how to arrange for the same?

If anybody has this info or contacted UPS regarding this, please pitch in.

I ordered 2 iPhone 7 Pluses at 00:05 and got a confirmation at 00:15 my Matte Black shipped this Monday and im on the 801 group while the jet black is still processing. I got tired of the anxiety so I went and deleted UPS app and I will just wait for it to deliver :/

I'm pretty sure most customer centers are M-F. Stores are open but that usually adds a day to the transit time. Some people are saying UPS may do Saturday deliveries but on twitter, they're saying no, basically.

Yep! Best way to do it is look up the closest ups Customer Center, not store. If it ships to a store there is a holding fee, and it delays by a day. Give the customer center a call and tell them your tracking number. Tell them you'd like to have the package held as a will call at the center and that you'll pick it up. No fee, no delay.
I know this as I do this with a lot of packages, most recently (yesterday) my wife's iPhone 7+ 128 RG. Had it held at the customer center and picked it up without issue. So jealous. Anyhow, Hope this helps.

Yeah, I am on ATT Next. I had a processing order already with Apple.com to be shipped by Apple to my home. It was supposed to be shipped Oct. 12-18th. A friend of mine told me the store normally gets new shipments and updates inventory around midnight. So I gambled, cancelled my order during the day yesterday and got lucky by going to the website and reserving one that showed in stock (7+ MB 128GB).

I reserved the new one online for store pickup staying with ATT Next ....

I actually live in Houston -- it's one of the locations in Houston. I don't want to specify which one due to security reasons and my pickup time being in the post above.

You're going to love the matte black. I did the same thing last Sunday in Fort Worth: checked the reservation site and found a matte black Verizon model, reserved it, and picked it up 30 minutes later.

I wouldnt even give it a week. Keep checking for stock near you and cancel when you can go pick one up.

I totally agree! I would give ANYTHING to be in their shoes. Ordered 9/9 when pre-order opened at 12:10am pacific time, expected shipping date October 18-31.
