Mine is still in Korea:

09/23/2016 8:49 P.M. A mechanical failure has delayed delivery. We're adjusting plans to deliver your package as quickly as possible. / Your package was released by the clearing agency.

Anyone in this 8:49P.M. group?

Mine is technically 9/23 8:48PM, but I'm guessing I'm in the same group despite that lol.
I received an update for departure though: 9/24 2:25AM Departure Scan. Does anyone have this as well?

Alright so, I've been following this shipping saga here. I was part of the "mechanical failure" group, however my tracking now says its back in transit. I looked at the flight aware website, and I was able to locate four UPS flights currently en route to Louisville from Incheon Int'l, with the connecting flight being in Anchorage. Most of you already know this. I looked up on the UPS website that Worldwide Express and Next Day Air packages ARE, I repeat ARE delivered on Saturday. Based on these circumstances, I think that there is a pretty good chance we will have our phones delivered tomorrow once they are stateside.
As long as they get to Louisville tonight I think there is a good chance of taking delivery tomorrow. I really hope you are right!

For me it says Worldwide Express Saver, do you have any info on that about saturday deliveries?

Damn that would be nice but either way if it arrives at a local hub tomorrow I'm gonna try to pick it up.

One of them told me that the customer center will be closed tomorrow to pick up. could you tell me how to do a pick up on a saturday?

I wonder if anyone else had selected "Hold at UPS Center" like I did and if I can pick it up tomorrow (if the shipment gets to Orlando area) between 8-11 am when my local UPS Hub in Longwood, FL is open.

Did anyone else ask for iPhone to be held at a UPS center/location? I picked the UPS in Longwood since it is our distribution center rather than a "UPS Store".

From what I've experienced, express packages are sorted and can be held for pickup if your facility has Saturday operating hours. Ground shipments are ignored until Monday.

Im guessing we might be on UPS99A heading to Anchorage

FYI we have worldwide express saver which does not do Saturday deliveries from what I can see on their website.

Do you think it's possible they'd be delivered later tonight? Someone posted about a possible 7PM delivery earlier in this thread. I'm hoping that they'll stick to the original ETA (9/23) UPS gave me. I'd be a bit bummed if they didn't since they got my hopes up with the thought of early delivery. Apple's ETA has and still says 9/26... which I'm guessing is more likely in this current situation.

I'm wondering the same thing. Could I do a pickup at the UPS service center on a Saturday with "World Ease"?

My tracking says "World Wide Express Saver" - that one doesn't mention Saturday delivery.

My order was scheduled for Thursday, then Friday then delayed for mechanical issues.

As of now it just updated being in Alaska. Those of us who got delayed yesterday may have an update now or soon.

Ahh, weird. This morning as of 07:00 Sept 23 I was seeing: Pearson International (Airport, Toronto) Awaiting Release. Now I'm seeing: FLT DLAY MEC Korea 01:19 Sept 24. Argh! The Pearson message is probably the same as the Louisville messages I've been relaying to you US guys. It's clearing the package ahead of arrival, I don't think it means it's on the way or in that location at all!
Oh NO! That sucks. Mine still says departed from HK - that UPS63 flight is supposed to land in 90 minutes, so I'll be curious to see if I get a scan. Not that it means anything either way, just looking for any shred of data to torture myself with, LOL.

Hey 8:01ers, does anyone know the estimated landing time in anc today?
I called both ups and Apple and they aren't willing to do anything to get our phones to us tomorrow. Very disappointed.

I pre-ordered on 9/9: MB 128 Plus AT&T, 10/4-10/10. Mine is still "processing." I went ahead and reserved the exact same model at a local Apple store under the iPhone Upgrade Program, per recommendation of some forum members here. I plan to wait to cancel my pre-order until I arrive at the store, get paired with an associate and make sure they can switch it up to sell me the store model under AT&T Next (I get a $25 line discount for Next, so DO NOT want the Apple program). Wish me luck... I'll report back about how it goes.
