Just got on with apple via chat and here is what text the person pasted (no way they typed it as fast as it was sent):

"I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. Due to an unforeseen weather condition the packages have been delayed (UPS is working as fast as possible to get the packages moving again once there is no threat to the safety of their employees). As of now the Estimated Delivery Date is not available. Once it is updated you will see it change on the UPS tracking site. You can view the most up-to-date status of your order in real time on the Order Status page http://store.apple.com/orderstatus(opens in new window) or from the Apple Store App on an Apple mobile device. Again, I do sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and delay on this package delivery and thank you so much for your time, patience and understanding."

Me: "date on my apple order page says today. so basically youre saying thats not accurate and most likely will be next week?"

"I am not sure when the new Estimated Delivery Date will be but yes, the date on the apple page has not been updated since UPS has not provided an updated Estimated Delivery Date yet."

So not holding my breath

After chatting with both Apple and UPS, I've been told by both people that if the phone is at your hub friday night/saturday morning, it will be delivered Saturday.

I'm literally waiting on a chat session with Apple to ask that. This is what I'm expecting to happen in my case, just wasn't sure if Saturday delivery was an option.

I spoke to 2 reps yesterday who confirmed it would be delivered today. I spoke to an apple rep on the phone who called UPS and she told me it would be delivered by 7PM EST tonight. Then I chatted with another rep who said it wouldn't be delivered today and had no more information. No one knows what's going on. I GIVE UP

You will probably be shipping on Monday morning when you wake up if previous tracking updates hold true for you.

You're going to love the matte black. I did the same thing last Sunday in Fort Worth: cheeked the reservation site and found a matte black Verizon model, reserved it, and picked it up 30 minutes later.

It looks sweet! I did have to wait in a line for a little over an hour, even with a reservation. However -- once it was my turn, I was out of there in 7 or 8 minutes.

I urge everyone to check stock -- especially between 11:55pm and 12:05am local time to wherever they live.

I'm using UPS Connect CX software at work and it tells me more details than the website does. I'm in the Toronto area and according to my software it magically arrived at Pearson Airport this morning after the "Mechanical Delay in Korea" while the UPS website tells me nothing. If anyone wants to PM me their tracking number I can narrow it down a bit more for you.

Alright so, I've been following this shipping saga here. I was part of the "mechanical failure" group, however my tracking now says its back in transit. I looked at the flight aware website, and I was able to locate four UPS flights currently en route to Louisville from Incheon Int'l, with the connecting flight being in Anchorage. Most of you already know this. I looked up on the UPS website that Worldwide Express and Next Day Air packages ARE, I repeat ARE delivered on Saturday. Based on these circumstances, I think that there is a pretty good chance we will have our phones delivered tomorrow once they are stateside.

Ahh, weird. This morning as of 07:00 Sept 23 I was seeing: Pearson International (Airport, Toronto) Awaiting Release. Now I'm seeing: FLT DLAY MEC Korea 01:19 Sept 24. Argh! The Pearson message is probably the same as the Louisville messages I've been relaying to you US guys. It's clearing the package ahead of arrival, I don't think it means it's on the way or in that location at all!
