iPhone 7/7+ Apple.com Pre-Order Thread

I tried the iPhone App and online. The App got through around 12:08 AM Pacific. Like an idiot, I tried a single transaction for a iPhone 7 Plus 256GB Silver and a 38mm Apple Watch Edition and a 42mm Apple Watch Hermes single tour. The bag crashed multiple times. I final got to the final payment with ApplePay and it would just sit and spin. At 12:23 AM Pacific, I started to place separate orders for the phone and watches online through the Apple.com store. That was successful. The phone still had an estimated delivery date of 9/16. The watches had slipped to 9/30 (not sure if this was the original date though). This was the worse experience I've had with online pre-orders in terms of getting through.

My corporate line was eligible for an upgrade and and I got a confirm for an iPhone 7 Plus 256GB (Matte) Black for only $419 from AT&T Premier at 12:23 AM. Serious multitasking.

Sigh...Apple. Order placed within two minutes of the Apple Store app going live. Matte black 7+ 128gb, vzw. I get the email confirmation, order number, 9/16 ship date. Good to go! Place an order for wife's upgrade: 7 32gb, rose gold, vzw. Same story as mine. But but...her's gets the ghost charge and now has converted into "Preparing to ship." Mine...no ghost charge yet, and still "processing".

Something tells me I ain't getting my toy on 9/16 despite what Apple's email said.

Is anyone's order, that was placed early on, still in RECEIVED status? If not, Processing probably doesn't mean much for those with dates other than the 16th.

Presuming that the best place to check on status updates if ordered thru Apple is on Apple's website under the "Orders" section, correct? Either that or via push email updates?

Lol! So very frustrating! I've never had this happen. And to have the ship dates the same now at nearly 10am the same they were last night, that's lame! What a bummer....

Yeah, it's definitely frustrating. I'm hoping those of us ordered within the hour of pre-orders going live are good for launch day (or thereabouts) and the crazy release dates are just place holders.

Mine also says Sept 27-29 (ordered at 12:15). I too have prior year's experience when they move up the date, so I'm hoping to get it next Friday too. My question is, should I have paid $10 for the expedited delivery?

I'm pretty unhappy with Apple this time. I was able to get onto the Apple App store around 12:15 PST and it wasn't able to verify my carrier information but I got a reservation number ensuring me I would get an email later today to complete my order and still have a shipping date of Sept 16. I got the email this morning and as I'm in the middle of selecting my AT&T Next and submitted and got a "ERROR WITH PROCESSING YOUR REQUEST". I tried to click on the back, no dice. I went back to my reservation page, and they can no longer find a reservation associated with my account. Tried the reservation number. Nope.

I ended up ordering the phone from AT&T, but I won't get it until Oct. Apple, you've failed me. Anyone else have a similar experience?

Am I the only one who preordered and opted for in store pick up vs it being mailed? Opted for unlocked pay in full 256gb 7+ black with ATT, opting for mailing showed delivery late September while in store pick up was still available for 9/16

Just a heads up if this hasnt been covered. I signed up for the iPhone Upgrade Program last night for preorder, didnt realize I had my home address in the shipping information, so I did a chat today trying to change it. Apparently for new sign ups for IUP, the shipping address can not be changed after the fact.

I feel completely screwed over this year - I get a new phone every year, and NEVER have a problem. This year, the site didn't come up for me until about :09 past the hour, despite refreshing constantly.

So I add my phone to my cart, see 9/16 delivery, go through (QUICKLY) entering carrier and billing info, and by :12 past the hour, with NO forewarning, I get told that my delivery date is October 4-10, but not until AFTER the order is submitted.

128GB Matte Black, AT&T, 7+, buying outright.
So disappointed and frustrated.

I had this happen in the past where I regretted not getting the expedited shipping. I called apple customer service and they were able to upgrade it for me via the phone. Give that a try. Good luck!
