I know that there are some Fort Worth people on here who like to pick up their iPhone at the UPS hub on Independence Parkway, like me. I've had my iPhone held at the UPS hub for pickup the last few years, but not this time: I went there yesterday to pickup a package, and it's a construction mess. They didn't have adequate signage to direct customers to the temporary pickup spot (the guard shack), and I think that it will be a mess next Friday (they told me that the construction is going to last well past next week). Also, with so much of the parking area torn up, it was difficult finding a parking space, and there was only one other customer in front of me.

I'm in North Arlington so totally understand hence the reason why take off or work from home when my products are scheduled to be delivered. I had to pick up a package from that location and OMG, it was a mess!

I ordered my silver 32GB 7 Plus at 09:13(Austria) since the store wouldn't load earlier and I'm still in the processing items stage. The strange thing to me is, that my debit card still hasn't been charged. Is that normal? Delivery estimate is September 16th.

I couldn't even get into the store (via the app) till 3:10et.

I am not sure how much longer I can take being on hold. Two hours and 18 minutes is ridiculous and their music choice is awful.
Feel for you, at this point i would just hold on until orders are back to normal to buy. This whole ordering process will be total chaos if you didn't get your order in already. Even if you did, god only knows what apple is up to.

Ordered my 7 plus this morning. Doing upgrade program for the first time. My Amex go charged the correct amount then I checked again a minute ago and the charge disappeared.

Looks like I may get denied? I have a 740 fico but I've only had a credit card for about 2 years.

Relax. It's just a temporary authorization to make sure you have the credit one to cover it. They will do a final charge upon shipping.

If you were denied you'd know.

Did u get email welcome from citizens one loans yet?

I'm not too worried. I wasn't even sure I was going to pre order it as of last night.

I haven't gotten any info from citizens, only an order confirmation from Apple. But then again I only ordered it 4 hours ago.

I ordered a Verizon 128 GB iPhone 7 at 1pm eastern and I have a delivers by date of 9/16. I got the Citizens One loan email already as well. I checked my credit card online and I've been charged the first payment, taxes, fees, etc. I'm just happy to be able to preorder so many hours after it went live and I'm not waiting until November or December to get my phone. Thanks Apple for drawing all the "gotta have it now" over to that piano black model!

Probably not relevent until Saturday or Sunday, but has anyone found there UPS tracking number yet?

Posting this info since my original thread got merged:

We should start seeing some movement today or tomorrow with the order status.
Once we get to 'preparing for shipment' we should be able to get details on your phone and let the tracking begin :)

Here are some notes to help track orders:

Apple will automatically add your phone with it's serial number in your support profile. You can see it here:
https://supportprofile.apple.com/

You can look up the week of manufacture and factory here: http://www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.html or
http://sndeep.info/en

Links: for tracking:

http://www.ups.com/WebTracking/reference?loc=en_US
https://www.fedex.com/fedextrack/htm...&cntry_code=us

flight info:
http://flightaware.com/live/fleet/UPS
http://flightaware.com/live/iphone

Thanks!! This will be very helpful in a few days.

For those who have pre-ordered in the past with a ship/arrival date AFTER launch day....does it ever come sooner is it pretty much always the timeframe they give you?

Realistically I don't think it makes a whole lot of sense for apple to link iPhone 7 orders directly with the "expected delivery" date that we see. It's not like once 'x' number of iphone 7+ 128GB model's are remaining it automatically changes status for buyers from '16/09' to '28/09'.

I think what it's more based on is Apple's calculated expectancy. After so many orders of a certain model they will change the "expected delivery" regardless of remaining stock. And my guess is that that number is also conservative, hence would explain why many people get their phones on '16/09' anyways even though they might have had a '28/09' 'expected delivery'. It would also make sense because there will be many cancellations as well.

In a nutshell: simple, conservative, estimates. Not real-time calculated delivery times.

After 2:45 on hold I finally spoke to someone and they expedited the shipping for my iPhone. I explained how it went through to the end and then times out and originally I had a date for release date. He said there was still a pretty good chance I would get it next Friday, but with the expedited shipping the absolutely latest I will get it is Sept 20-22. Better then the 27-29.

Hopefully this post helps a lot of other people feel better and gives us a chance we still get it next Friday!

9/16 delivery for my 7P Gold 128.

Preparing for shipment!

(Well if it's coming via UPS, then it's more like Preparing for shipment, damage in transit, rerouting all around the country, finally locating it, and then late delivery)

I tried to order a 7 Plus unlocked, outright and it wanted me to enter my Verizon account info and then listed a $20 upgrade fee...there is no upgrade fee, I'm not doing an upgrade with Verizon. I'm just buying the phone. It never would just let me buy one unlocked without related to the carrier so I didn't bother...I have unlimited data with Verizon so I can't and don't upgrade through them.
$20 one time upgrade fee is a new charge effective Apr 4,2016 from Verizon. You will get charged even if you buy your iphone 7 from apple because Apple store is Verizon's indirect sales channel. This will not actually change your current UDP plan.

The only way to get away from this $20 charge is to buy an iPhone off market (i.e. ebay, swappa etc.), or wait till the "sim free" iPhone 7 is out, then activate it on Verizon.

Please do a search on "upgrade fee" in Verizon website.

"You will be charged a $20 upgrade fee if you purchase a new device at full retail price or through the device payment program. If you purchased your device with a 2-year contract, a $40 upgrade fee applies."

I don't think the expedited shipping will really make a difference.

I was told by an Apple Store Genius yesterday that I would be able to order my phone online, it would be delivered to the store, I could then trade-in my current phone, and have my new phone activated. I come to find out through an Apple Support Chat that since my order has been placed, I cannot trade-in my phone to reduce the cost of my new phone....such BS, i'm so pissed. If anyone has any insight or advice on handling this I would appreciate it. Otherwise I'll prob just sell on eBay.

I placed my order 12:15am PDT and wasn't given an option for in-store pickup, just delivery to my address. I also got the 9/27-29 delivery estimate. I ordered a 7+ Black 128 gb
