What's with the WXX posts?

They're order numbers. They're under the impression that the order number is connected to their ship time or something. We know it's probably not true, but you know, things happen.

It's the first two digits of their order number. I don't think there's any correlation to what people are seeing activity on their orders but who knows..

The 6 was the standard 10 days. So was the 5. The 6s was the 17 days

Thanks. I couldn't remember exact time frames down to the days from the last few years, all I know is that it was over one week. A little patience goes a long way.

Someone post about 45 minutes ago that they ordered at 3:08 for the same carrier and model and is now preparing for shipment. Fingers crossed.

Since then they've changed how order #s are assigned. I don't think anyone knows the rhyme or reason.

I see people referencing the beginning of the order number. What does it mean? Obviously a smaller number doesn't mean an earlier order because my order at 12:11am is W56 and my order at 12:17am is W54.

It is probably a random number generated by your timestamp or some other way to make sure there are no conflicting orders.

After calling Apple and waiting on hold 2hrs52min with 15 rounds of rap song "It's 11:59 and 59 seconds" (managed to have dinner with family, wash dishes, check mail, take out the trash, take a dump, shower with Bluetooth speaker on hold), I got expedited shipping instead of standard. My preorder delivery window changed to Sept 17-24th. Launch Day delivery looking more possible!
