Odd thing happened. I logged in to check my order and got a message that said my card wasn't valid. Never got an email about this or anything. I paid with Apple Pay last night. Entered it 5x and no luck. Tried my 2 other cards, same issue. Finally I tried with my fiancées card and it worked. Too bad for her! Lol
6-8 business days from the iPhone release, 16th, puts you within the window provided of 27-29 Sep.
I asked the Apple CSR for option to expedite shipping and that I'd pay for it. But she said that Apple will send preorders the fastest delivery method by default. The order tracking may not reflect the expedited shipping until they actually ship your iPhone.

Hey guys question for you. When the order goes to Prepare for Shipping does that mean our CC was charged?
I used Apple pay and it does note the transaction on there, but i still dont see anything on my Online banking account.

Anyone last year get a shipment date from 3 weeks later and get it on release date. Mine says processing now.

I started an order for the iPhone 7+ The delivery date was showing as October 4-8th. I removed it from the shopping cart and decided not to order for now. I will think about it when it is readily available in an Apple store. Apple needs to have more stock before they start accepting orders.

W41 orders are being delivered on the 16th.
And I'm W55 and I'm getting it the same day as you (and sooner than WXX before me). They [Apple] used to do sequential order numbers but they don't anymore. I think there's far less rhyme/reason to order numbers than what people think on here.
They didn't give many of us a fair shot at ordering in time for the 16th delivery date. The damn app wouldn't connect to the store until 10 minutes after preorders were supposed to start. Evidently by then it was already too late by the time you completed the ordering process. This is not the first time I got shafted by the preorder process. Last time I tried going to the store on launch day but they ran out while there were still 100 people in line ahead of me. I ended up with the multi-week wait anyway.
There does seem to be a correlation between a few of the order numbers and delivery on the 16th. Could it be a fluke? Maybe? But isn't this entire process just a fluke?

Haha, yes it partly is. And us analyzing every big and detail of it makes it all that much more fun.
