I guess I got lucky.

You and me both. My 6s+ was a little "laggy" for the first 6 hours - but never more than a few seconds and stuttering. Later? Fast as ever.

My mother in law's 6+ upgraded, no problems. iPad Mini 2 upgraded no problem.
My wife's 6s+ upgraded, no problems. iPad Mini 4 upgraded no problem.

We're all lucky! :)

does anyone have some stuttering too when performing 3d touch actions?

Not stuttering, rather a pause. Like it takes longer for the function selection to display than it should.
However, I am also seeing the same issue in Safari when you long touch to allow options like "Open in new tab". That though may be the "new" animations o_O

Same, trying to figure out if those are the new animations or not. First thing I did on all my iPhones was to turn on Reduced Motion. But it feels like that got turned off in this update. Way too many animations.

When I rooted my Android phones in the past, I loved turning off animations completely. Made the phone seem so fast.

So true.
For android, you can turn on Developer options without rooting and turn down or turn off animations. Tap on "About Phone" somewhere around 7 times. Wish iOS had this back.

Hah! I had almost forgotten about that 7 tap in the About Phone area to turn on developer mode. Nice :). Agreed 100%.

Home screen still crashes 4-5 times a day, a week after installing the GM. Mine is an iPhone 7 Plus.

iPhone 7 Plus & iPad Air 2 updated to iOS 11 here. Some lag here and there, nothing too major though.

New one, and a major bummer.
I have my devices set to auto-update my apps. Since upgrading to iOS11 I have periodically jumped into teh App Store and did a quick check to see if I have any hanging updates. Been looking good. :)

Then, quite by accident, I pulled down on the Update page on my Pro. I had 18 updates pending. WTH!?!
Went to my Mini4 and 7+, same issue.

Why is iOS hiding pending updates?
Why are these not auto-updating like they were in 10.3.3 (noting that there were occasional hangs).
If I have pending updates, why no badges? (it is turned on in Notifications)

Same behavior on my Mini4, Pro 12, and 7+.
Looking for a clue

had this too on 7 plus.

Upgraded my phone yesterday and it is constantly freezing for 10-20 seconds at a time, mostly at the home screen. When I'm inside an app it kind of works for a bit longer, but every minute or so, I press something and have to wait 10-20 seconds before anything happens. Thought it was maybe the re-indexing but 24 hours later it was the same problem.

I tried to backup and restore the phone today (re-installing the backup) but same problem. I guess I'm now trying a clean install to see if it's something I have installed that ****s it up.

Am I the only one?? This is incredibly frustrating.
I have the 256gb iPhone 7+. No issues here been running iOS 11 since GM.

Iphone 7 Plus 128GB unlocked from Apple - upgraded on air from 10.3.3 and i've had issues that drove me away from my Android/Samsung devices:
1. Screen freezes
2. Switching between apps is sluggish
3. Dialing out, the call begins and gets in progress but there is no sound, until i restart the phone and then dial again.
4. When trying to share a photo/video from Camera app, the sharing option no longer has imessage as one of the applications. I now have to go into imessage and browse for a given photo/video to share it, as opposed to selecting the photo/video from the Camera/Photo app and then selecting which application to share it through e.g. imessage, whatsapp, etc. etc.

I did all of it. Clean install (reset Iphone back to ios 11) and then used the backup I took yesterday "after installing" ios 11 on air.

This is ridiculous.

Should've just been patient. I'm on 6 Plus, and it was stutters heaven for two to three days. Perfectly normal now. You restoring and not waiting doesn't help it.

Yes, that s the same thing people said when 10 came out, and one year from now, it will be the statement for 12.

Non sense as usual. I never said this for any iOS from 7 through 10. I was in the beta program for iOS 10 too and it was perfect within the beta cycle itself.

Before 7 I didn’t use iOS that much.

Same thing happening here. I just managed return mine to iOS 10.3.3. The iOS 11 sucks.

It’s possible you have some third-party apps that are not playing nice with the new version and need to be updated. Especially apps that run in the background could be causing this.

Try disabling Background App Refresh for all apps or all non-Apple apps and see if it makes a difference.

You shouldn't have to be lucky to get a functioning device. I think memory usage more than CPU is to blame here.

Finally mine is working.
I try to enroll in beta.apple.com
I downloaded the iOS 11.1 developer
Immediately switched back to iOS 11.0
After downloading and installing
My phone return to normal
I went to iTunes and restore my previous iOS 11 backup
Now everything is working fine.

My 7+ isn’t really laggy. Maybe a little. But what I am experiencing is that when on WiFi, downloading anything takes 2-3xs longer. My WiFi speeds are the same as before the update. But WOW is this taking forever to download anything.

Also. The little wheel spins near the WiFi symbol constantly. I’ve hard reset the phone and thought it solved the issue but did not.

Hopefully they fix most of this stuff next update and soon.

Battery life is definitely taken a hit. The only reason I did not go back to a Note when the 8 came out (from Note 7 to this) is because of the battery life. It’s amazing. But it is draining faster than my Note 7 did.

Skip to 2:25. Slow app install after upgrade?
