It seems like Apple are having a hard time with the popularity of the matte black and possibly with the yield of the Jet Black. Given the damage disclaimer on the Apple website, I wonder if they're just not able to produce as many viable units as they expected - and therefore can't provide them to EE.

I don't like that EE don't have a specific order tracking system (instead relying on texts and emails that may never come) but it does sound to me like EE have been let down by Apple in terms of order fulfilment. Perhaps EE expected to be able to deliver as promised until Apple told them that their wholesale orders wouldn't be fulfilled on time.

It's a screw-up but hey, it's just a phone.
 
I think that makes it clear it must be a precaution to all preorders? If you have a DPD text then you're more likely to be all good?
 
Just been told will be within 7 days, just got off the phone, but "apparently" apple have just made a announce that about delays.... if any one can find it
 
My iphone 7+ in black is delayed as well. I don't blame EE at all though, if anyone is to blame it's Apple. They're not sending enough phones to suppliers to fill the demand. This happens to all networks (not just EE) every launch. Why haven't Apple learnt to supply enough stock yet ?
 
Ok... got the damn text... been following this forum for a few days with baited breath.

I had also just got off the phone to CS and she has said minimum 3 weeks on my order. (08:15/20 order on Friday (Plus 256 JB))

And my new apple watch S1 is coming tomorrow and I don't have an iPhone to use it with! :(

I'm sure the carriers know how much stock they're expecting (unless Apple really shafted them). Vodafone were still offering launch day on the jet black plus until around 1pm. The carriers just seem to over-promise I suppose since by this time it's really not possible to switch.
 
Just received a text from EE, my iphone 7+ 128GB JetBlack will be delayed even ordered it before 8am friday morning and received an email confirmation by 07:59am!
 
Im wondering if Apple has re-assigned stock from carriers to rectify its Upgrade Program issue... Surely not?
 
Assuming that as I have notification on the DPD app that my 7+128 rose gold is on the way to my local depot should be ok??
 
So question is with this delay would people still be able to upgrade with the 12 months deal even though it will be less than 12 months when the iphone 8 is out?
 
Just cancelled my order with EE. Would of been a new customer but going elsewhere now. Even cancelling was painfully bad!!
