What did you say? I want to try and get my £150 back. Do you have to pay it at a later date?

Of course- this goes towards your monthly bill anyway. I was not fine with my hard-earned cash sitting in EE's bank gathering interest with everyone else's prepayment though:)

Just asked to speak to the retention team and told them all about this horrible experience full of people spreading misinformation and upgrading you twice to get the credit for it.

P.S They will be compensating me further- once their internal investigation comes to an end.

Did you get to keep the preorder?

Yep. Actually, it was 116,98- I was given 10 quid on top for the inconvenience this has caused.

Just spoke to EE, a delivery is indeed being made tomorrow but for the 4G WiFi Device which is part of the contract; the iPhone has been delayed and they said it should be here within the next 10 working days as it was ordered on Friday but there is no guarantee.

So basically you got a free phone?

Just cancelled my order with EE. Would of been a new customer but going elsewhere now. Even cancelling was painfully bad!!
Why was it a pain to cancel? Who you thinking of going with now? As from the sounds all carriers will have major delays.

SO, I've just got off the phone. I've been told my order will be arriving tomorrow and if not definitely on Saturday. The text message was apparently sent to ALL customers regardless of delivery date or delay. I was told DPD will text me in the morning to choose a slot and the delay is actually because they don't have enough drivers rather than the stock levels.

Normally I wouldn't blame EE for Apple's stock issues - but EE were blowing their own trumpet on launch day saying how great they are and that they'll have all phones in stock on launch day because they are so close to Apple, their CEO was at the keynote etc... They've been made to look very stupid now if you ask me.

That was a very short synopsis of what happen. I had confirmed delivery for the 16th last Friday and this Wednesday (I hadn't been following the forum BTW). When I received the text I phoned and asked the guy when i would receive the phone, I was told 3 - 4 weeks. The timescale didn't worry me. I work in sales and was annoyed that I had been misled into a deal! That's not service. Going to stick with my 6 for now and buy the 7 from apple on a sim only next month.

No Text of any kind yet...
iPhone 7 128GB Jet Black.
Ordered Friday, 8:20am, Promised delivery in 7 Days.
Let's see.

EE customer service is often well meaning, but mostly useless.

Also thanks for this thread, it's put me right off ordering another iPhone through them :p

(though FWIW they do seem to get a lot more stock than other networks. When I ordered my last iPhone through them, they managed to deliver when everyone else, including Apple had zero in stock. I'm sure they'll deliver your phones soon).

Why would EE get the payment from my bank when my iPhone7+ JB will be delayed????

So it can sit in there's gaining interest
I'm really thinking of cancelling my order now from EE and just wait for my preorder one from Apple next month! I've upgraded my contract and they'll be charging me now even without my new iPhone7+!! :(

I've received no text from them whatsoever - delay or delivery!

That's because they are useless man. Dare I say it but you should probably give them a phone as most on here have received one or the other. The delay message doesn't get you any further forward. It says they will be in touch shortly with an updated delivery date, I expected that within a couple of hours and still waiting.
