Carrier iPhone 7/7+ EE ( UK ) Pre-Order Thread

Well after being EE's (biggest) fan I'm disappointed. Had a nightmare of issues getting the order through.
After calling twice (once on pre-order day and once when I realised that I hadn't been charged) both times were promising launch day delivery and that my order was fine.
Received an email Wednesday saying my order hadn't been processed and to call them. Turns out there was a backlog of processing and that she would process it within 48 hours but I had to call back to get the order put through.
Which meant I was going to the back of the queue, as if I basically had ordered it yesterday.
She assured me I'd get it within 2 weeks of launch day. Not happy.
I went to an EE store. The guy there said "it'll be 28 days, we've been told to say that the whole time since pre-order day" which was clearly not being said by anyone.
Ordered the phone in store but I'm not going to be holding my breath.
HOWEVER.
For those saying "Why won't they be honest" - they can't. Competition. If EE say from the get-go "We have XYZ number of iPhones and after this they will be sold out" and Vodafone and O2 are saying "hey we will* get you it on launch day" then everyone will just pre-order with them.
It would take every network to be up front honest with their stock levels to work.
*but probably won't

My gfs 7plus rose gold is due for delivery between 4-5 so I will at least get a hands on and check camera.
I hope my jet black don't get pushed back till October. Been a total nightmare this year I wanted the note 7 then all them issues then now all this.

Has been delivered to my local EE shop. Hope it's still there when I go to pick up later.
Could the price per month simply be the price without VAT? Depends on which page you were reading that on I think.Got a text saying i am now on the new 4GEE Max plan. when i logged into my account the monthly amount is £8 cheaper and no upfront cost taken from my account yet. I hope it stays like this

Yeah they exclude VAT on one part of the MyEE site.
Where's your local shop? I might walk in and pretend to be you...
DPD have been round my housing estate. Delivered 3 packages which looks like an iPhone box then drove off. Looks like I'm not getting mine today :-(
That sucks! There's nothing worse than watching the delivery company come and go without visiting you.
Believe me, I've been tempted to just buy a normal 7 myself just for the sake of new phone goodness...
But I don't want a 7, nor do I want a phone that small. I want the better camera, sublime battery and that delicious black... so looks like I'm waiting.
Well i just got a message from DPD saying they will deliver my iPhone tonight at 8pm,
This is also the same iPhone that EE have requested "return to consignor"
I change the colour from Gold to Jet Black 2 days ago,
I assume this will be the Gold one and not the black one,
So it will be going back to EE if its Gold

Just getting mine delivered to work, we have a decent mail room here so it's all handled for me, they will ring me if they need my ID and i'll just pop along.
Not me. Planned on wfh but because of the mess they made I lost hope it would arrive today. At least my apple watch will come tomorrow. Too bad I don't have an iPhone to go with it lol

Swapping the colour would put me back to 21 days.
Keeping it she said worst case it will be 21 days but I won't have to wait that long. My order is still open so not picked. She did say new stock is coming daily. But the usual you'll get a text when it's on the way.

I have to be honest, I think some people need to chill a bit. Calling EE twice a day for an update is going to achieve nothing. We go through this every year without fail and eventually everyone gets their iPhone and forgets all about the fiasco surrounding the release. No matter what network you're on you'd be in the same boat today. There is simply more demand than stock. Like every year.
