Just spoken with helpful bloke at EE. Essentially it would appear that Apple have pulled a huge number of units from them and as such do not appear to be offering any form of compensation to anyone who expected orders today.

I'd been contacting them all week (+128GB Matte) and was assured a number of times that delivery would be today but he was told that from the start of the week the only estimates they should have been giving were 21 days (28 days for JB).

On the subject of text messages, EE are awaiting stock and he said that they would send out further messages to keep customers updated as to when they would receive their orders.

Funny how customers in America are getting quicker delivery times Looks like apple are giving to Americans 1st as they are the chosen ones and everyone else has to wait because in Americans eyes we are all scum who should be conquered or blown up.

:D

Does seem very odd that EE have said the JB's have been recalled by Apple.
Why, I wonder?

It's totally non-sensical.

Glad I went down the route I did but really sucks for the people who were waiting delivery all day only to be told that.
I would be writing a letter of complaint and detailing the tracking and the phone call conversations and wipe the floor with them. EE and Apple.

So i cancelled my rolling monthly contract with EE,
The guy said i won't get a better contract than EE,
2 mins on the vodafone website and o2 website they are cheaper than EE
So called them back up to point that out to them LOL

Will go to the shops tomorrow to see who can give me a better deal

lol I swear there's only a couple of people who actually got a phone today! It's an utter mess and EE need to do more than tell us within 28 days. I haven't even seen an apology!

Spam the twitter pages with your anger that will get there attention.

I recieved my gfs 32g 7 plus rose gold today. first impressions are good but typical apple. Very smoothe and fast the home button i wasnt keen on at first and felt a bit odd but after a while you get used to it. The camera seems very nice and crisp. Auto focus seemed fast the front facing camera was grainy looking in non perfect light in doors. Ive not had a alot of messing about with it yet tbh but overall a great package.

Now whens my jet black gonna come -.-

It is ridiculous how I can have a pre-order in with a network who told me within 7 days (5 days before launch) and they can't get it to me for another 3 weeks.
Yet I ordered a 7 at 4:45pm this afternoon and already had my DPD app update with a delivery tomorrow. o_O

What the hell Apple? Why no Pluses? Even in the lesser popular colours there are none.
It's just ridiculous.

lol

It's true that it's a shambles, but this time around I've noticed a slightly different view of the press angle regarding the launch.

Rather than 'All hail Apple, another massive success means more phones required', it's more like 'Apple not producing enough, leaving resellers high and dry with customers angry'.

It's the way it should be.
As much as EE have p*ssed me off today, it wouldn't make a difference what network I was with. My sisters are with Vodafone and ordered 7's at the same time. One got one today, the other didn't. Vodafone couldn't even give her a reason why and she's looking at 28 days. (Jet Black).

At least with EE, I could call up and cancel within 10 minutes at a generally mega busy time. If that were Vodafone it would be at least an hour on hold - no lie.

Either way, it's Apple's issue, and it's probably a good thing for them that the Note 7 has it's problems as a lot of consumers would have probably thought 'screw it' and just picked one of those instead out of spite had they been readily available in stores too.

I dont see the point in cancelling as your most prob not gonna get it any sooner going a different route. It does suck alot even more so if you was in my boat and was going for the note 7 then now this. Patience is the key although it seems many here like myself dont have much of that :D
