Carrier iPhone 7/7+ EE ( UK ) Pre-Order Thread

it does look like the iphone was supposed to launch on the 23rd but because of the note 7 issues they moved it forward
Yeah should of just set launch for next friday. Will see more stock coming in by next friday and hopefully many of the 28 day wait will be at worse a week or two..we can hope
From what I was told and seen. That Apple only imported 1500 plus to the uk and almost all of them stayed with Apple.

Definitely not true . Carphone Warehouse proudly stated today that they have every + model but black (matte&JB) in stock with next day delivery . . .
Trust me, they're ruder and more clueless than EE over there, don't make the switch. I didn't cancel my 8am preorder with them and jump on the back of EE's queue for no reason.
Sounds promising that EE may get them out sooner. Those saying the 23rd could have potentially been the release date could be right, so should have a little more stock towards the end of next week.
I have my 7 up and running now anyway. Still waiting for the Pluses in black to come in to buy outright from John Lewis so I can get that instead but so far enjoying the phone.
I know the Plus has the better camera, but I do hope it's a damn site better than this 7, coz I personally think this sucks.
I had a Note 7 before sending it back due to the battery and it was head and shoulders above this. I know it's not a fair comparison against the 7 and I should be looking towards the Plus, but for now the 7 camera is average.

the plus camera is exactly the same so if you're not happy with the 7 you won't be happy with it either. It only has a 2nd camera for zooming and the blur option will come later. Nothing beats the note 7 camera and apple has not had the best camera in years. Samsung takes the win every year

It's the same camera mate with just an additional for zoom.
On a side note you've bought an iPhone 7 to tide you over till the plus is available!! You have too much money

My 7 is a new contract and it's a much better one than a 7 Plus contract I had pre-ordered.
I intend to sell the 7 when the Pluses are availble and put some money towards the difference but I have John Lewis vouchers saved up which will cover the difference. I'll just keep the cheaper contract and put the sim in the Plus

I spoke to a CPW assistant on Friday and she said the company had not been sent any plus phones. And didn't they would see any for a week or 2
Maybe the photos just look worse due to the screen on the 7. I only took a couple shots in doors on the 7 plus and it's better than the 6 ha. I would say it's near equal to the Samsung 7 series not much difference tbh. So still a good camera.
The zoom is handy x2 once u get to the digital zoom though gets grainy and blurry. But overall camera is nice. Just not as good as expected from all the hype. Front facing one not good in low light.

To be fair re the camera, I don't have the Note 7 to do side by side comparisons any more.
But I will get some out and about properly of my dog and see the difference then.
The screen on the 7's are not as good, as pointed out, even though it is still a brilliant display.

While not EE direct, ChitterChatter (EE's partner) promised me the world... When I preordered at 9am on Friday, I was told I was the first one to order, I said will I get it on the 16th, the lady's words were "we will be getting all models next friday, I'll just double check with my manager"............."Yes we are getting them all so should be with you saturday or monday." Live chat thursday "we are the first in the UK to get plus models as some arrived yesterday". Called friday, "we received 0 pluses. None at all. Don't know when we will get them". Their twitter now says "plus models expected late october / early november".
I am way way way beyond angry. They've taken my upfront money, they told me they were getting some... This has been the worst launch ever. How the hell do John Lewis (non carrier related) get more plus models on day 1 than ChitterChatter (EE partner?)...

Problem is is that there is nothing I can do! I either order through Apple and wait 2-3 weeks, I can't go on the IUP as theres none available, everywhere else is saying mid october or 6 weeks +... I'm so stuck! Absolute balls up by everyone!
Fair enough, problem is they get away with it then. Apple ship times will probably improve before they get stock anyway
Yeah thats true. I'll call them tomorrow and during the week, otherwise I'm gonna order through Apple.
