Update, 20 September:
FINALLY UPDATE THAT MIGHT BE REAL
- Orders from yesterday’s Apple shipment are going out via our courier, DPD, today.
If you pre-ordered over the phone or online, you'll receive delivery information by text.
If you pre-ordered the new iPhone from an EE shop, you’ll receive a call from a store advisor as soon as your handset is ready to collect.
Please scroll down and read the section below called “What happens when my phone is in stock?” for more information.
- Tomorrow, EE will send a text to everyone who hasn’t received their pre-ordered iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. This text will contain your individual, expected delivery date. We’ll update you again when we have more information.

I just called, mine is STILL an 'open sales order' - I ordered Sunday 11th but was still advised 7 days for delivery. Starting to get a bit annoyed now tbf
Are we all interpreting their update as: more phones have arrived in the country, with deliveries being made from today/tomorrow. If you don't receive a delivery notification by tomorrow you can expect a text from EE explaining a more accurate estimation of when we'll receive our phones? So either way, within the next 24ish hours we should either have our phones or at least know when we're getting them?
Excellent - thanks for this. I was considering calling today as need to decide whether to cancel the upgrade order and stick with the Gold 7+ I got direct from Apple. As long as I get a date within 3 weeks I'll wait but if it is going to be November then am less inclined to do so. However I really want the Jet Black (or even the ordinary black) as not sure I can stick the white bezel nice though the gold back is.

Nope, those who are getting phones tomorrow will get texts today, the rest tomorrow.
Conspiracy time: Imagine if Apple planned the shortage from the start. iPhone delays to service providers means customers don't get their devices on time = unhappy customers. Those unhappy customers see that people who ordered direct from Apple are getting their phones faster (Even the JB and Matte plus models). Those unhappy customers then decide to buy direct from Apple, however they prefer to pay per month rather than the big upfront cost of the device. Hey, guess what. Apple just released iPhone Upgrade Programme outside of the US, this includes the UK. More money in Apple's pocket by cutting out the middle man (EE, Vodafone, O2 etc.). HMM hahaha, what do you think?
Seems unlikely, I believe the carriers don't even get a discount on the price of the phones wholesale.
So because I work for CPW on a Saturday I get partner discount with EE. They've just confirmed my 30% line rental discount so I'll be paying £29 for 7 gig of super fast 4G, unlimited mins and texts and BT sport. Can't be bad!
Although the sooner I can rid myself of this 7 for a Plus the better. Hate the small size.

Sorry I misunderstood from the flow of the posts so thought we were purely talking about the update emails from EE to everyone that hadn't received a date or phone yet!

not sure if it's just me but y'day EE said they'll be getting the shipment y'day and texts will go out within 24h - I assumed this was from the time that was posted which is around lunchtime. Lunchtime today is long gone so is the 24h, and they just posted that update.... seems like they're trying to stall us

Imagine what it's going to be like next year when they redesign the iPhone. Hopefully apple will build enough of them before releasing

This is my favourite piece of news so far. I can't wait to get this message tomorrow so I can at least know when to expect it.
