I think that Apple statement was specific for their stores. They essentially wanted to avoid a riot, with the people camping in line. I saw a news report last night, of people abandoning the line, because of Apples statement.
As for carrier retail stores, by all accounts it seems like they'll only have a couple on hand. Very limited. A few Tmo employees said earlier, that their store was getting one each of the Plus models. Those could possibly only be for display.
Does UPS delete the information under "shipment progress" for year old orders?
I went to go look at my 6s preorder shipment info, but I saw the only thing it says is "delivered". It's obviously been a year so I'm not going to remember if it had all the details or not. Does anyone know if UPS will delete all the other information other than the delivery time?

Well, at least my wife's Rose Gold 7 will be here mañana, along with several pairs of sneakers I ordered. They should help ease the pain a little.
Still kinda salty I stayed up so late to not receive a device on release day, but oh well. Guess I can't really blame TMO for the shortage of 7+.

Dealing with employees at my local T-Mobile retail store has been hit or miss. Not of them are very nice first off.
But the gentleman I spoke to today said he saw his manager unpacking the shipment and saw her pull three iPhone 7 models out. I don't know how much truth there is to that and I called later and another employee said "We can be getting anywhere between 3 to 30" so I feel like some stores know. It's very unlike they will get a shipment before they open at 8am unless there are expedited or their area is a first serve area for UPS.

My tmo store got 5 of the iPhone 7 black 128GB only
In progress on UPS and card charged yesterday - let's hope for some overnight UPS activity or tomorrow isn't going to happen for my 7+.

Order placed on 9/11 with an estimated ship date of 10/25-11/11, but it looks like I'll be getting my 7plus 128gb silver tomorrow or soon after!!!
Still no update or charge. 7 plus matte black 128 GB. Start of order 9/9, couldn't complete so had to finish 9/10.

As far as I know...there hasn't been any reports of Black 7 plus movement.
