So let's just say the Matte black phones were on those 8 flights and we get charged/shipped today... What are the chances that tmobile adds Saturday delivery to those packages as a "we're sorry" ? I'm reaching, I know. I need to accept the fact that I won't have it this weekend to play around with.

They've delivered for Saturday in the past.

I haven't complained much about it this year but it's a bit ridiculous that I ordered at 9:30am EST on Friday and still have a date for Oct. How did apple **** up inventory so badly this year?

Other years, I've ordered on a Wed and still received it on or even before the official launch date. When you inventory is selling out minutes after launch, someone has screwed up their predictions.
 
OMG People, It's just a phone. Six months from now there will be another one, and then next September probably an all new model. There are people who went to bed last night without food or a real place to live. There are people in war torn countries wondering if they'll ever be able to see their family again, there are people who are battling cancer and other deadly illnesses. Yes I was up at 2:00 am in NY waiting till I could order at 3am, yes I placed my order at 3:04 expecting I'd get one of the first phones, but come on - it's just a phone. I have a 6S+ that probably less then a year old - I'll live.

In the mean time, spend today loving your family and being grateful that you're biggest problem is a stupid phone.

Just got in the Austin AT&T Store (I planned on switching to T Mobile with my Preorder)...Plenty of 7+'s in every color and size EXCEPT the 2 blacks. I was 16th in line and am getting a 7+.

This day turned out to be great after all!!! Good luck everyone!
 
I don't even care about the phone, I just hated I woke up that Friday morning well before pre orders started and got the same ship date as people who ordered what seems to be a day later.

I would have been much happier if they straight up said pre orders for the black models would start the following week.

I called the hotline but they did not give me a better idea of when my phone would be here either. Not very helpful. The counselor did mention he was waiting for his phone to though.
 
T-Mobile messed up. I was on the phone with them at 12:03 am launch day. Their computers crashes and so they didn't complete the order until 8:45 in the morning.
I had the exact same story. They called three times in between to get it done and the server would crash again. Then the rep was like, " you will see it on Friday".........

We got FAR from priority. We got the F off.

Yep. Last year it was all the rage but this year it has been the middle finger for JOD customers.

Their rationale is that we should apparently pay off the JOD, ironically as if it's an EIP. Then, trade it in and get our "free phone". So basically, I will trade in my 128gb 6s+ and get the same credit as someone who is trading in a iphone 6 16gb.

Based on yet another year of order screws ups by t-mobile, I'm going to be dropping out of JOD and just purchasing from apple directly.

You make completely valid points. Keep this in mind. Some of those people battling cancer and other illnesses are also finding time to participate in this annual event. For while there are some frustrations, it's still kind fun for many. Just saying.

No phone here either....

The most disappointing part of it all is that I paid full price for the phone. I'm not in any JOD, or took the free iPhone promotion. If I pay for it upfront, I better be a priority and I better have my phone on launch day. period.

T-Mobile & Apple Failed.

We had a bunch of planes land about 7 hours ago, was hoping I would at least get charged this morning before work but still nothing U_U

Last year... they said that JOD customers would get "priority access" on the iPhone 6S orders... now we are the redheaded stepchild when we want the iPhone 7.

No kidding. 289 pages of self entitled whining about how people have to wait an extra week or two to get a new phone to replace their current phone which functions just fine (most people). Apple supplies Tmobile. If Apple doesn't supply TMobile with enough phones, they aren't going to magically pull one out of their a$$ for you, just because Joe Hipster Douchebag calls in and gets upset. I'm sure 50% of the people on here are balled up in a corner, rocking back and forth, having anxiety attacks right now cause they won't have your new status symbol right away. Guess what?? Ready for it?? You'll live.... Just enjoy your current phone that will keep functioning as is for a little while longer. No one will think any different of you cause you don't have the new iP7 yet (and honestly, they won't think any different of you when you DO get it, either) <-- Sorry to break it to you...
