I'm kicking myself over that. I thought Jet Black would be the most popular but I guess the matte black is too. I should have went for the silver. I always have them in a case anyway lol. Next time I will go for the least popular color lol.

The 6 and 6+ preorders were shipped out in UPS plastic bags for release day. At least back then they shipped.

Wow. This makes me worry for the 3 phones i ordered, especially the black plus 256. I switched from AT&T and they've never sent phones without its original packaging.

mine still shows Expedited next day with the original estimate of 9/19-9/26. Waiting for something. anything!

It's not just the phone in a plastic bag. The phone comes in its box but instead of a protected box or air cushioned, it's just a bag. Nothing ever happens to the phone. It'll arrive safe and sound.

No man, the phone is still in it's box. They just took that box and put it in either a plain UPS mailer bag or, some got bubble mailers. T-Mobile didn't use their own branded boxes back then.
 
Here's my story: Went to the first T-Mobile store this morning and they let me in at 7:45 only to say they didn't get any iPhone 7s in for today. Drove quickly over to the Mall and saw a T-Mobile rep at the food court and he said they got 3 regular iPhone 7s in and there was one left. He went with me to the store. He went to the back and got the matte black 128gb and then tried to up-sell me to an iwatch and ipad pro. I said no and then he says these phones are reserved for new customers. That was an unbelievable! I told him that I've been a customer for over 10 years and he was going to sell me that phone. With no expression at all he continued to ring up the sale. Photos attached. Note. the photos of the phone wasn't taken with an iphone. I've started to play with the camera and the photos seem really good so far. I'm coming from an Note7 that I just had to turn in.

They recently changed the promotion without telling anyone..

I asked them about this as I didn't wanna switch from my existing unlimited plan, here was my question and their response...

ME:
I see the tmo iphone trade in deal has changed. You are now required to be on the tmo one rate plan. When I placed my iphone 7 pre order, that wasnt the case. Am I now being forced to switch to the one rate plan ?

Hey Jonathan, thanks for hanging tight for us. Glad to hear you were able to place the pre-order already. The new trade in program for the iPhone 7 only requires the plan change if you did not complete the pre-order before 09/15/16, if you did it before that day you are good to go the changes won’t apply to you. *MarioH

And as others said....Your iPhone will be in its original box :)

Tmo doesn't open iPhone boxes from China. All carrier specific software/user manual etc, gets thrown in there in China. Carriers place an order and Apple fills that specific carrier branded iPhone and box. Carriers don't touch the original seal.

Correct. That's how my was boxed. Apple box inside TMO shipping box.
 
This is the first iPhone I preoredered that I won't get on launch day. I made a mistake ordering 3 phones in one transaction (rose gold plus, black plus, and jet black plus). Rose gold was held 'cause they don't wanna ship it until the black and jet black are ready (which is in November). Had to cancel the order and reorder them separately.

Congrats! He wanted a little more commission. Understandable. Though he crossed the line a bit, with the attempted bait and switch and denial. Good job for being stern.
 
It's release date and I haven't even had my card charged or any update on my jet black 128gb iPhone 7. Not even the plus. What a complete joke. I don't know whether to blame Apple or T-Mobile at this point but this is absurd.

oh man, that looks NICE!!
It's really awesome and slick as a bar of soap. Gotta get a case fast. It's unbelievably fast and gonna take some getting used to the haptic home button. Back to taking some good photos. I'm used to the Note 7s excellent camera and that's the main reason for me getting this phone.
