I know that is not an easy process and the demand is very high.
But after all these years they cant somewhat predict demand and have a somewhat normal release with decent availability? A company that's worth over $500 Billion we're talking about here with over $220 Billions in cash reserves.

Apple produces almost 6 iPhones every single second!
They can't start production before the new iOS is ready.
The demand was expected to be much less than the years before!
T-Mobile had about 4 times the preorders from last year!
I agree they should have pushed the release date by one week! Which was actually expected anyway...

with every passing day i'm thinking a little more if I even want this phone. like a forced waiting period is sort of making think this whole thing is rediculous and my 6s+ is working just fine. yes i think t-mobile has made a mess out of this but n one will leave them because they offer a lot for a fairly low price. when i get mine ,anne i'll just sell it on ebay.

I just got a call from T-mobile Executive-I sent an email to John Legere early last week concerning frustration about the phone order process. I wasn't expecting a call back. Nothing really new, she apologized and said that supply was very tight for the launch and I am in the initial shipment of the 256gb black plus. She said T-mobile has not received ANY 256gb Black or Jet Black plus iPhones, yet. She was able to give me firm numbers on the EIP, confirmed since I did my EIP before Sept 15, I don't have to do ONE and can stay with my simple choice plan (which I kind of knew anyway).

She said my card has already been charged (it hasn't yet) but she noted that it will likely charge in the next 24 hours. She said that I should have the 256gb phone by week's end and gave me a direct line to call her if I don't see it moving this week.

Nothing I didn't know before.

Could you (I) just check the pre-order page @ apple and go and get the phone there?

Keep making up excuses. This iPhone release was a big joke.
They can't start production before the new iOS is ready? Where did you come up with that?
They need a final GM iOS 10 version to create jet black backplates and other components? Please.
Stop the nonsense.

We get it. You're angry you don't have your new iPhone the second you want it, and you need someone to blame. It makes you feel better. Got it. But it's ok. You will survive until it comes. And no one will think any less of you for not getting it on launch day. I promise.

But honestly, if you're that unhappy, why buy it? You haven't even been charged for it yet. Why not cancel the order and go buy one direct from Apple? Or better yet, teach Apple "a lesson" and go buy a Samsung.

Don't tempt me I am close to the edge I am trying not to loose my head... I just might ditch Apple and move to Android. :) Not because of not getting an iPhone on release day just to see how the other side be living :)

All these Darn iPhone Commercials during the Emmys with the tag line "Practically Magic".

I should be so lucky to have a matte black iPhone 7 in my possesion to slip out of my hands.

Where are all the flights at tonight?? There are only two or three planes in the air according to FlightAware.

Because video games don't directly replace sales of a previous version the way phone and electronic sales do. They can announce early to build hype because they're not missing out on people who will buy whatever phone is the newest at the moment, even if the next one is rumored to be announced in a week.
Also, if they "moved back the announcement and preorders a month", nothing's effectively changing - other than this same thread and whining being done in August instead of September.

every time I have left I always come back the ecosystem is not the same. If you use apple products like iPad and mac then it's very hard to loose features you didn't realize you used often in the first place

Everyone on the att preorder thread is doing reservations to get phones at Apple stores tomorrow with att next ... anyone think we can do this with the t mobile promotion ?

Well, I finally got a 7+. But it's not my T Mobile 128GB Black 7+ with a ship date estimate of 9/19 with no movement. Instead, I got an AT&T Black 256GB 7+ reserved for pickup tomorrow. I was switching from AT&T to T Mobile, but no matter whose fault it's been, this hasn't been a pleasurable experience thus far trying to switch.

I will be going through IUP which gets me an upgrade every year, keeps my unlimited, and gets me apple care +, and I get to trade in my unlocked 6+ for $315 with Apple.

I was excited to move to T Mobile, but now I've got now reason to leave AT&T. Especially not after this pre order fiasco.

It's been fun watching this thread with all of you, but I will happily be walking out of Apple with the phone I pre ordered and in a larger size, only on the network I opted to leave.

Maybe next time T Mobile.

Advice to everyone, if you are willing to pay outright for the iPhone, you can do an in store reserve with Apple for in store pickup and you can pay full retail for ANY carrier phone and it will work on T Mobile...Something to think about. It's been confirmed to work from every carrier. Good luck everyone, here's the link if you haven't seen it...
