You were promised a phone on launch day? You ordered on 9/9 (like I did), and they actually told you that you would receive your Black/Jet Black (I forget which) phone on the 19th? I'm just making sure this is something you were actually TOLD, versus something you inferred from "preordering on Day 1".

When I ordered, they told me on the phone that shipping dates for the Black 128 GB Plus had already slipped to October. They said my wife's Rose Gold would be received on launch day (it was), but that mine may take a couple of weeks, depending upon Apple's shipments.

Weird.

The reps tell all kind of weird s**t. When I called to place my order, my rep told me that I will definitely get it on launch day. I knew from experience that isn't happening because I called much later after the pre-orders started. After we confirmed the order, she told me that "system is now telling me your delivery date is 9/27 - 10/10". Yea, right! I would have been pretty pissed too had I not know T-Mo or carriers in general any better.

Now question is I'd like to return my 2 old iphone 6 phones back.
I rather go to the local tmobile store instead of shipping, packaging etc...
Anyone had a good experience or they send you home and told you to do it on your own?
And I would like to receive credit to the EIP program, not all at once in a phone bill.
Input?
I was told that if you initiated the entire upgrade process in-store, you could return your phone(s) via walk-in as well. If you did it over the phone, you'd have to mail them back with the generated shipping label. This is all coming from a rep (nice guy, fellow military) in TN. Either way, he said, they can move the credit from your regular bill to your upgrade (EIP).

That's not what I heard.
In order to make it free they apply the credit over the next 24 months to your EIP. So your bill is not higher than it was before. It adds and credits back the same amount for example. That's what many others did and what Tmobile reps told me.
It sucks that its so much uncertainty and unknowns with this deal.

Here's how the math works for a base case example. (iPhone 6 16GB and iPhone 7 32GB)
Tmobile will give you: ~$169 for your phone. This will be one-time bill credit back to you tmobile account.
- Then we have: $649 - $169 = $480. $480/24 months = $20/month
- In the next 24 month, You will be charged $27/month but Tmobile will also give you $20/month, which mean you have to pay net $7/month. $7x24=$168 for the credit you received.
- The total cost to get a new 32GB iphone 7 is : your iphone 6 + tax of the new iphone 7
- What if you don't want to stay with Tmobile till the end of 24 month. Let say you stay with Tmobile for 10 months and decide to switch to Verizon, which mean you have 14 months to go. Then amount of money you need to pay for keep the iphone 7 with you is:
$20 * 14 = $280

So yes, in effect, your bill will not be higher than before but over a period of 24 months. Absolute amount wise month to month, it WILL be higher than before by about $7/upgrade. Again, this for base case example. Actual amount will differ based on the phone that you traded in and purchased.

Cool.
But they didnt send me a box or anything to ship the old phones back in or a prepaid shipping label.
Everything seems unknown with this deal and I have to go chase everything.

That's not how it was explained to me and many others got that amount rolled into the EIP payments already.
I dont want to have to pay the net amount for my phone over 24 months and get it all at once in a lump credit towards my phone bill service. I just want to leave my phone bill the way it is.

I would like that too honestly. Well, I hope you are right then that it's possible. I know this from talking to a few people on other forums who did this and T-Force.

EDIT: Talking to T-Force again. Let's see what they say.

Welp! I had to cancel my credit card that I pre-ordered on since somebody made unauthorized purchases on it. R.I.P to my 9/27-10/24 shipping date
