The reps tell all kind of weird s**t. When I called to place my order, my rep told me that I will definitely get it on launch day. I knew from experience that isn't happening because I called much later after the pre-orders started. After we confirmed the order, she told me that "system is now telling me your delivery date is 9/27 - 10/10". Yea, right! I would have been pretty pissed too had I not know T-Mo or carriers in general any better.
Exactly... and far be it from me to defend what people were hearing from some of their CSRs. The point remains, though, that that was an unrealistic expectation - and you knew it. You should have laughed her off the phone. But more than that (because you were at least erroneously told you'd get *sigh* one of the brand-new colorways -colors Apple fans have been begging for for years with the aluminum chassis - on the 19th) it's people with the automatic assumption that that's how it would go just because they CHOSE to get up at some ungodly hour to try to order the phones. "I got up early, was late to work or Pokémon or whatever, and I should have it on the first day." Yeah, well... you and about 10 million other people, apparently.

I wouldn't mind a bit more clarity for customers, or at least an explanation on how the shipments are actually being ordered - it can be frustrating to receive a shipping window and see someone else with a later window receive the exact same phone before you. I get that. But you have to admit: about 85% of this thread was people whining they couldn't have their new shiny toy RIGHT NOW!!! (not even paid for, mind you, or began their estimated shipping dates).

Update got my phone and I cracked it today jet black iPhone :( but it will be replaced in 3 days tops $149 down the drain :(

that sucks! i hope you purchased a case today...

Welp! I had to cancel my credit card that I pre-ordered on since somebody made unauthorized purchases on it. R.I.P to my 9/27-10/24 shipping date

nooooo. can T-Mobile update the cc on their end?

That's not how it was explained to me and many others got that amount rolled into the EIP payments already.
I dont want to have to pay the net amount for my phone over 24 months and get it all at once in a lump credit towards my phone bill service. I just want to leave my phone bill the way it is.

Alright, talked to T-Force just now. Here's the conversation:

Me: For the iPhone trade-in credits, can I have those applied all towards my EIP instead of receiving a one-time credit? Basically, if I trade in iPhone 6 16GB for a iPhone 7 32GB, instead of receiving a one-time credit of $165 and then $20.XX/month can I just have those $165 in credit spread across 24 months towards my EIP? That way my phone bill will not change at all.

T-Force: Thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately the credit is a lump sum and we don't have a way to spread it out over 24 months. *JeremyS

That's weird.
How did others did it?
And multiple times many reps told me I can choose either option.

Cool.
But they didnt send me a box or anything to ship the old phones back in or a prepaid shipping label.
Everything seems unknown with this deal and I have to go chase everything.
Yeah, when my wife's phone came there was no package in the box to send her phone back in. The rep told me that was a known issue - evidently they have people at their main hub that manually put the shipments together, and they were forgetting those in the frenzy. We got the label, though, so we just shipped it back in the same box with the little air bags. I do believe you can print out the necessary shipping label from your account page, though. There's some number on there that's the magic behind shipping it back and getting proper credit, apparently, so if you have multiples make sure you send them separately and that the labels match.

Dear Lord...

Yeah my box had none of that. No return label or packaging material for the old phones.
What a messy situation.

I was told before pre order starts that i can use the $165 credit either to my iphone 7 and spread it for 24 months or pay off my existing EIP.

Its annoying how different reps tells is different informations.

I was told that if you initiated the entire upgrade process in-store, you could return your phone(s) via walk-in as well. If you did it over the phone, you'd have to mail them back with the generated shipping label. This is all coming from a rep (nice guy, fellow military) in TN. Either way, he said, they can move the credit from your regular bill to your upgrade (EIP).
I've always returned them to a T-Mobile store,

I always return them to a T-Mobile store..they will inspect and generate a shipping label. I always do jump on demand upgrade over the phone...

Here's how the math works for a base case example. (iPhone 6 16GB and iPhone 7 32GB)

So yes, in effect, your bill will not be higher than before but over a period of 24 months. Absolute amount wise month to month, it WILL be higher than before by about $7/upgrade. Again, this for base case example. Actual amount will differ based on the phone that you traded in and purchased.
It just seems like there are so many less convoluted ways they could go about billing that end up at the same totals... lmao these companies are hilarious

On average, how long have people been waiting between getting charged and receiving shipping information?

He said once I receive a text saying my payment been declined to give them a call back so they can update the information.

So my 11/1-11/30 ship date but Monday arrival isn't proof? lol
No, because without some confirmation from TMobile saying they prioritized your order, it just looks like all the rest of the orders that are randomly being fulfilled out of order.

For each of you that says you were prioritized, there are 10 more who weren't and just have movement on later orders for seemingly no reason. It's a mess.
