In late August we reported that iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models were said to be in short supply at launch and the sources claimed it was due to "faulty components." Now, a new report claims supply of all iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models, colors and storage capacities are about to drastically improve..

i would take it with a grain of salt

It's been offically now a week since I ordered my iPhone MB+ 128GB. Has anyone seen anybody who ordered it at this time who's already been charged? Also, has anybody seen a 11/15/16 - 12/12/16 shipping date? Thanks.

Oh a weeeeek? The horror... On week three and nary a peep from tmobile for a simple 7+ MB 32gb.

Also, my phone hisses. It is slight but it does. Everyone please let us know if yours does this. Especially check for it during the restore (if you do one) or installing a lot of apps. If you hold the back of the phone to you, you can hear it there (near the apple logo on the back. I'm wondering if this is normal or if there are defective iPhones.
man, are you looking to get it replaced?

Has anyone gotten their phone yet and done a restore from iTunes backup? The only thing I'd have to do is get it set up, update to 10.1, and then reset it to do the backup. There's always the iCloud backup but that obviously takes forever.

I went ahead and ordered my Rose Gold 7+ 256gb. My estimated shipping date is 10/25-11/11. I'm going to be patient and continue using my 6s+ and then pay it off once my 7+ ships and use my 6s+ as a backup phone.
Do you have to pay it off,or can you continue making monthly payments?

I did get the text, and I did respond immediately. However they declined the charge, they didn't just hold it, from what I gather. I had to call T-Mobile (immediately) because they texted me that it failed as well.

Wow, that's really strange and annoying.

This might seem like a silly question, but should I call my bank to give them a heads up about an incoming charge between now and the middle of next month? I don't think it's high enough to be considered suspicious activity, but then again, I've never used my debit card for anything with T-Mobile.

just give them a call and let them to know expect a charge from tmobile, give them the exact amount if you can. dont wanna risk getting the order declined.

Hey, just wondering which report this is? Ordered my 128GB JB 7+ and still no sign of life. Getting anxious as I am expecting both a baby boy and an iPhone 7+ in November!

I read online that the 32gb 7+ mb is shipping in 3 weeks for those who ordered on 9/9. If that's true those who ordered then are getting theirs shipped this Friday.

You will certainly lose your Health data, for one. And all of the little settings for things like sounds, notifications, folder and icon arrangement, background photos, etc. The Health data alone is enough for me to restore from backup.

As far as benefits to a clean install? Maybe shorter time to actually use your device? Those restores take FOREVER, especially via iCloud.

Here is a way to restore health data:

http://www.idownloadblog.com/2016/09/20/transferr-only-activity-health-app-data-to-new-iphone/

I personally clean install on every iOS version. Things run smoother, especially since I jailbreak and settings and files often transfer over.

SAME! They pissed me off, they all give me different answers and then i later find out it was canceled and they were all just BSing me

i'm going to be livid if thats what happened to my order. I'll make sure they give me something in return for a mistake like that. as should you. talk to a supervisor, get them to compensate you for your time. maybe a monthly credit on your account, maybe a free hd pass on your lines, something. fight for it.

Yea. Charged around 9am. Looking at my account the charge still shows pending tho. Hmm.. I was hopping once it charged things would go smoother with the delivery. My fault for having unrealistic expectations

Don't worry about that! My charge is still pending too, but my phone is on the truck according to UPS. T-Mobile has 5 days (business days Sat & Sun don't count) to collect the money, worst case the pending charge will expire, BUT they can still put the charge through, and it will come right out. The downside is your money gets tired up, BUT you spent that money either way AND eventually its going to T-Mobile no matter what. You should have your device tomorrow or Thursday. :)

Called UPS just now regarding no movement on my package, did not know that they had a separate iPhone 7 department?! That they had to transfer me too. I think that's a little too much. But I guess I will not be getting my phone today. Been in limbo since Sunday morning with the package ready for UPS to pick up. This really will not end

Pre ordered 7+ 32gb silver on 9/10, called t mobile to hear about the status of my order a week later only to be told my order was cancelled.. didn't want to be put into a November estimate time so I figured I'd reserve to pick one up at my local apple store. Went to pick the phone up only for my credit to be declined (even though my credit is enough to purchase the phone) which made no sense to me.. had no choice but to order the same phone just only two days ago but again had to cancel it due to not getting any email for my signature, so I had to put in ANOTHER order.. and I'm now stuck in the 11/01 - 11/30 delivery estimate.. just wondering if there is any chance I could get my phone sooner than the estimate time? If so, when? Getting this phone is seriously bs -_-

If your new phone is on an older version of iOS (probably shipped with 10.0 and your old phone was running 10.0.1 or 10.0.2), then you have to update the phone before doing the icloud backup. That's been a requirement for at least 2-3 years, if not since the start of iCloud backups. I've had to do that each year before doing a restore.

My iPhone is out for delivery...but question: I've always done the restore from backup with every iPhone. Does anyone see a benefit to doing a clean install? What do I lose? What will still be there?

You lose a lot, but you can manually restore it all. Settings will all be factory settings, apps will only be default apps. You can redownload them for free after logging into icloud, but that might be a pain if you have a lot of apps. With icloud this has gotten a bit fuzzier as your photos would restore if you have them stored in icloud and I think your bookmarks in Safari would restore too, along with anything else already in the cloud (me.com email, etc) but most everything else has to be restored.
