So if any of us don't get it on launch day and order is still standing still with no shipping number, who's planning on taking a chance at the store that morning old school wait in line style and cancel preorder if you get one
What's the experience of the waiting at a store to grab one? Do stores tend to get a lot?
[doublepost=1473660116][/doublepost]
And now I am slightly peeved.

The representative took down the wrong credit card information. I had to reprocess the order AGAIN

So I've been pushed back to november I am very pissed
Same thing happened to me (we'll name on card was spelled wrong) I contacted T-Mobile help and she is going to get back to me in a day or two after hearing back from the higher ups to see about editing the name and keeping my place in line. Maybe worth trying?

So long story short, I just placed an order today for an iPhone 7 128GB Matte Black. It says it will ship 9/15-9/16, does that potentially mean it'll deliver launch day? What did it say on the 9th? Deliver 9/16 or ship 9/16?

Hey gang, I was hiking for the last week and was off-the-grid, so I've been unable to participate in any of the threads and am trying to quickly decide if paying off the JOD lease on 6s Plus and then taking advantage of the $650 in credits (applied over the course of 24 months) is worth it for me. I figured a room full of my T-mobile friends could best offer me advice! :)

I've carefully ran the math and here's the scoop:

I own a 6s Plus 128 GB right now. Would go with a 7 Plus 128 GB for this deal.

It will cost me $220 upfront ($120 for the Plus and $100 for the 128 GB tier)
It will cost me $61 in tax for the new phone.

I would have to payoff the remaining payments on my JOD lease plus the right to own final payment: $385 and then turn over the 6s Plus to T-Mobile. If I were to keep the lease all the way though, I would only be paying T-Mo $336 since I currently receive a $7 credit each month from last year's JOD promotion.

So when all is said and done, when you account for the upfront costs, the taxes, and the difference in lease payments, I'm essentially paying an extra $329 out of pocket to own a 7 Plus 128 GB, assuming I keep it for 24 months. (If I get rid of it sooner, I'm losing the $27 credit for each month that I end earlier than 24 months...which can get real costly, real quick.)

Is there anything else I'm missing here? I literally just walked out of the woods 8 hours ago, so thanks for bringing me up to speed!

Cheers,
Bryan

I'm confused.. do you mean 100 to pay off your 6s?
Because to pre order a 7 plus 128 should only cost 149+tax. Total is like 161 out the door.

No, that amount is not to pay off the 6s Plus. The way I understand it, it is $120 for the 7 Plus 32 GB and then an additional $100 for each additional memory tier. So that is where I came up with the $220 plus tax as one of the upfront costs.

I assume I'm on the right track. If not, do let me know. I appreciate the feedback.

Cheers,
Bryan

Hey folks, keep in mind the cost of the phone will be net $0 over 24 months, instead of $0/mo. You will get the trade-in value upfront (for example, $195 for a 6 plus) and then will pay back the $195 over 24 months to make the net cost zero. In this case, you'd pay $195/24 a month, or $8.13. If you did a $650 EIP, that would be $27.09 a month with no credits, or $27.09-$8.13 = $18.96/mo in credits.

If you pay your EIP off early, the credits stop! Keep that in mind if you apply your trade-in credit to the EIP. In my example above, applying the trade-in would reduce the EIP to 17 months instead of 24. But after 17 months, you'll have paid a net $8.13*17 = $138.21 for the phone.

Thanks for your other posts.

Can you explain how this will work if I want to roll off trade-in credit to EIP balance? Elaborate 2nd part of your post pls.

I have two orders.

1. Iphone 7-32GB with EIP of $650 which is $27.09 per month for 24 months. I traded in Iphone6-16GB which is $165 value for this order. So If I roll in $165 to EIP after trade-in, EIP balance will be reduced to $485. Since EIP is fixed at $27.09, TMobile will bill $27.09 to my monthly bill.

how much credit TMobile will apply to this EIP to make net cost of this order $0? As per offer, my net cost after iphone6 trade-in should be $0.

2. Iphone 7 plus-32GB with EIP of $769.99 which is $32.09 per month for 24 months.I traded in Iphone6 plus-16GB which is $195 for this order. So If I roll in $195 to EIP after trade-in, EIP balance will be reduced to $574.99. Since EIP is fixed at $32.09, TMobile will bill $32.09 to my monthly bill. The difference in this order as per offer is that my net cost should be $120 after iphone6 plus trade-in.

how much credit TMobile will apply to this EIP to make net cost of this order $120?

TIA!

So are we saying that a lot of our shipping dates could get moved up once these planes all land today?

if you pay off the phone early, you will loose the credits that tmobile is giving you, and will end up having to pay the remaining balance. Maybe you said that above, but that is the one thing of the deal that rubs me the wrong way. So basically you have to pay monthly (not encouraged to pay your amount off early) else you get burned. We will see what happens next year, but they told me if I upgrade my phone next year (I'm not on jump) that the credits will still remain.

Anyone who can recommend a case for the iPhone 7 Plus?
Depends on the kind of case you are looking for but I always loved the Apple cases! Doesn't make the phone feel bulky and I have dropped it plenty of times and my phone is fine! YouTube channel everythingapplepro did a 10 foot drop test with the Apple leather cases and they protected the phone like a champ
