You sound pretty confident. But I bet you're full of speculation like everyone else.

Here was one of ChubZ's posts from Saturday.. he could still be full of speculation.. but he sounds somewhat legit to me.. more legit that any TMo rep I spoke with regarding ship dates:

https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...e-change-thread.1993696/page-10#post-23386501

I posted this in the Tmobile thread but here's how the dates are handed out by the carriers:
Apple notifies each carrier that they will have X amount guaranteed. Obviously anything greater than that amount goes into a que and fullfilled in batches, not one for one. The initial upfront amounts were devices already at shipping hubs. With non stop flights from China all weekend, expect to see those 9/19-9/26 and later to move up to release day. You'll see movement Mon, Tues and Wednesday. This happens every year. The ship dates are always on the conservative side to offset anyone not getting their devices when promised.

I got this information as I know someone in supply chain management for VZW and currently works reverse logistics for them.

anybody have any idea why tmobile is shipping iPhones so late. All the other carriers have reasonable ship dates for all the phones except for jet black.

Kinda strange since I didn't get a text or an email but my iPhone 7 128GB - Black order status now is "Shipped". Found out when I was checking the order status on the T-Mobile app. Was able to click on it and pull up a UPS tracking #

While we all wait for shipment notifications- quick question.

My sister wants to trade in her iPhone 6 for the 'free' iPhone 7 from T-Mobile. She has a cracked screen. I know that this needs to be fixed prior to trade-in, but.. will T-Mobile perform any checks beyond just making sure it works? Like, does it need to be repaired at the Apple Store which will run us $109, or can we go to any ol' 3rd part shop and swap it out for a ~$75 screen and call it a day? Thanks in advance to anyone who knows.

Just get it replaced at the Apple Store, It's worth the extra $30 or so. :) I ordered this case for my 7 Plus. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01KK86QW2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

You can take it to a 3rd party to get the screen replace. The phone just needs to turn on, have no water damage, or a crack screen when you trade it in

I preordered the 7plus (switching from Verizon) and I will trade in my iphone 6 - 64gb.

Anyone know how strict they are on trade-ins? I have a scratch (about 2 mm long) on the screen and that's the ONLY defect of the phone. Will that hose me on my $650 credit? My inclination is that there's no way it would, but curious what people think or if anyone has past experience trading in a phone with a small scratch to Tmobile. It's worth noting it's pretty tough to see the scratch unless the screen is off and you angle the phone at the proper angle
