Yes you can, several people have verified that when you go into the store to pick up that you can do the carrier plans. But if you want the $649.00 trade in you have to take your old iPhone 6 - iPhone 6S into a verizon store on or before sept 30th

If you read how the email is now if you reserve, they make it clear that you can only do reservations and switch to Verizon payments if you are already in the Apple program. Not sure if they will let just anyone do it anymore or not
Thats odd, several people posted in reddit and here a while back saying that they walked in and got a 24 month plan just as if they walked into a carrier store. A few even provided screen shots of their receipts as well

Looks like being a part of the IUP is mandatory now if you want a phone direct from Apple right now.

Yes. You must be currently enrolled in the iPhone Upgrade Program, so that you can upgrade your iPhone to carrier financing, or purchase at full price. Ask a Specialist for more information
So I didn't bother going. Some people still may get them to do it, but they are now making it clear they only want people in the program using the reservation system.
Has anyone been successful with a jump the line request and had their phone shipped yet? I was supposedly approved for a request and just got an email saying they have completed my equipment order and the request is now closed. Does that mean it's shipped or it's been cancelled? The email was pretty vague.
I hope you will get it soon. I just placed my new order on 9/22/16 for 7+ MB 128GB and the ship date is 11/16. I kept hoping I would get it faster. Seeing that you ordered it on the launch day and the shipment has not moved at all makes me sad. Oh well JB is more popular than MB anyway.
Anyone with a myVerizon ship date of 9/26 via UPS have a tracking number that has actually been updated with information? Mine still says the shipment details could not be located.
I heard evidence of this as well. I was in a Verizon store on Saturday and got into some dialog with the manager. She mentioned that she has had about a dozen people come in with their Jet Black phone, or come in to change their JB order, to something else. I went ahead and ordered the matte Black (128GB) and was given a ship by date of 11/23. Like everyone else, hoping that it will be sooner than that.
Kinda ticked. My local UPS received the package on Saturday the 24th at 4am. I figured it would get delivered that day, nope. So no movement until Today (the 26th) with a "Desitination Scan" at 6am. Still no "out for delivery" or ship date. So I figured I'd call UPS and they said since it's 2 -Day shipping they don't deliver on Saturday or Sunday so the earliest I would get it is Tuesday. I mean I know it's just a cell phone but cmon. Same town since early Saturday morning! I've had Amazon Prime Packages deliver faster.
Still no tracking info for UPS.. it said today is my ship date though. I'm hoping it comes Wednesday, hopefully I might be able to go get t Tuesday night. I probabaly won't be home for delivery.
also have a "9/26 ship date", called UPS to see if they had any more information about tracking (my tracking number has no information on it), the agent said "tracking info should definitely be updated by end of tonight", we'll see.....
Apple changed the email and policy to only allow Users of their program. Likely because of this forum.

Not quite. From the beginning you were only supposed to be able to reserve a phone if you were going to finance it through Apple. Note: "reserve" a phone. In the beginning they were pretty lax about it and if you reserved a phone then picked it up at the store you could do your carrier's financing or Apple's. Now they have changed the disclaimer to say you must use Apple financing. However, many store employees are still allowing carrier financing when purchasing at the Apple store. After this mess of preorder/reserve is over, you would be able to buy a phone at the Apple store and finance it through your carrier.
That's odd.Hilarious, I woke up today to a tracking number but I just realized they are sending my phones in two shipments. My first shipment out is for the Jet Black 7+ which I find funny...my second shipment which is for a gold 7 and MB 7+ has still not shipped but I have been charged for it so not sure what is going on here.
Can you post link for November thread. I pre ordered on 9/9 with a ship date of 11/16 too.
I'm sure you'll get it sooner. I ordered mine at about 13:30 mountain time and was given a date of 10/26, just Saturday it was changed to 10/5. Hang in there!
