Yeah, that's just like when they promised to release the JB after 6.1 went live, and then...oh, wait.
If you have an iPhone 4 and have valid manually saved blobs you can downgrade to 6.1.2
Besides that a tethered JB is available on 6.1.3 for the iPhone 4
Cydia didn't save 6.0-6.1.2 blobs properly.
I tried to use a tethered jb, for me it's too annoying to use.
I hope this comes out soon so that I can upgrade my aging 4S to the 5s before Apple makes a big fat phone with the 6.
It feels close, th3 jailbreak. Cydia has grown quiet - all the tweakers and themers seem to be saving their energy for an iOS 7 platform. Few interesting new releases... Ima bout to give up a stable 6.0.2 jailbreak for 7.whatever just to have something new to play with on my iP5 and wait with the rest of yas. Hope it isnt too long! Losing my 5 row keyboard is going to hurt.
I'm pretty sure they are waiting for 7.1. There's no pointing releasing for 7.0.4 now as 1) 7.0.4 is still rather buggy - 7.1 likely won't fix everything but it should be better to some degree, and 2) if the JB exploits get patched in 7.1 its a very small window to jailbreak now.
For a rough estimate, I'm thinking it will be February for a 7.0 - 7.1 JB going off the release of iOS 6 JB...

Interesting to see that the idea of a 7.1 release lives on, they never stated that, the JB is not ready, neither is cydia or mobilesubstrate.
@planetbeing stated in an interview that he community is jumping to conclusions too soon...
Cydia works on a iPhone 4 iOS 7. Please stop passing misinformation. The mobile substrate still needs to be updated though.

Yeah the JB is not ready, but with them not saying anything whose to say whether it will or won't be in 3 months time? 7.1 is only in beta 1 at the moment. Also there hasn't been a x.2 for a long time, so the JB is going to come out for 7.1.x or not at all >.<. I'm not expecting it as soon as 7.1 launches, but I am certainty not expecting it anytime before 7.1.
These threads always crack me up. Every time people say there's no need to jailbreak and jailbreaking is dead. And- lo and behold, a Jailbreak emerges.
There are still reasons to Jailbreak. Perhaps not AS many, but there are still reasons. There are a few tweaks I'd like. It's not as 'essential' as it once was- but I'd still jailbreak if it was available.

TriJet's point is that they never exicitly said they're waiting for 7.1. If the jailbreak is ready when 7.1 is the latest version, then it's purely coincidental.

I'm not jumping to anything, I'm just looking at the facts? The only 'guess' work is that there won't be a 7.2, but you only have to look back at past iOS's + hardware releases + web logs to know that its highly unlikely there will be 7.2 (https://www.macrumors.com/2013/09/1...0-2-ios-7-1-and-ios-8-showing-up-in-web-logs/)

This does not mean they are waiting for 7.1

The 5c/5s/ipad air and mini retina are out, 7.04 is stable, no use not to release if the JB is ready.
A 7.2 can happen so can a 7.05.
You are jumping to conclusions on multiple points.
For now it just isn't ready, just wait it out, they will release when ready.

No, but they were pretty upfront that they would be releasing evasi0n after 6.1 launched, and the doubters called them liars. That was pretty much the point of my post.
