I'll try the fix again. I won't know anything until after work. If this doesn't work, I will have to consider moving to a different carrier (AT&T).

Guys I realize it's difficult being patient with this issue that we're all having. Rest assured it will get handled. Apple, nor Verizon, want to release a "fix" that doesn't work. I'm sure they want to get it right the first time around.

Verizon said they are aware and working on it. Give it some time. Shouldn't take long.

Hope so. The more people that have the I7/7+ on Verizon and have problems the better! I'm really surprised that someone hasn't mentioned #VERIZONGATE yet.
[doublepost=1474921971][/doublepost]I went through the steps and lets see if this makes any difference. *fingers crossed*

Just drove home from work, took a different route, and I had signal all the way but then lost GPS when I got to my house. It's just weird how intermittent the issue is. If it was a tower handoff issue then it should be happening everywhere, no matter my route. But it only happened when I took the freeway this morning and not the parkway I took home.

Not sure if the GPS signal is related. I've never lost GPS near my house on my 6S+ and it's weird that it dropped on my 7+.

I'm starting to wish Intel made the CDMA modems too..

I have good news, I did the "fix" adding and re adding HD voice and it works perfect. No more dropping to 3G randomly so far so good.. I will still keep monitoring all my lines.

What is "the fix"? Is it deleting and adding back HD voice?

Yes. The "fix" may not truly be a real fix but for me it's an improvement. For everyone else rest assured we did our part and Verizon and apple are working on it. We need to just hang in there.

If I see 3G, I can live with that. Especially since I work in a concrete building. However, if I hit no service or 1x, I consider the problem still standing. For me, so far, I've got lucky.

If the cell flip disrupts my jamming to music or a call with my family, I have issues with that. And lately, that is what I have been experiencing. Let's see what the "FIX" does on my way home.

It may be a good idea before your new 7 arrives, to disable HD calling a day ahead of time. Then after you activate your new phone, you can turn HD calling back on in your account if it doesn't do it automatically.

Phones still stuck on 3G after doing everything....... I can't get it to connect to LTE.
GRRRRRRRR

The "fix" seems to be working for me. Normal and equivalent signal to my iPhone 6 since following the steps above.

Still hoping for an official fix to be sure though.

Fix didn't work, again. Opened up Pandora, pulled out of my work parking space, and no service, 1X, to 3G. And we all know that 3G is pretty much worthless when it comes to streaming content. So... popped in my temp AT&T sim and boom... up and running. *sigh*

I wonder if simply swapping SIM cards somehow confused the account and messed up the way HD calling was applied to the phone. I mean if turning off LTE voice on the phone was a possibly fix and now disabling it on the actual account is holding some weight for some of us, maybe the real issue is the HD calling provisioning to some extent.

I'll disable HD voice on my account. If I get a signal drop, something configured on the phone itself is having an issue.

Disabling HDVoice isn't a real solution. Using voLTE is important for a lot of us who use the iPhone to make telephone calls.
