Going to file a ticket under our Apple Enterprise account today. Also got in 4 more phones... SIM-free A1661. Will test them out, but pretty sure they're all going to do the same thing.
It's a good theory, but the only way to really test is to put a Verizon SIM into an AT&T iPhone.Does it seem safe to say this issue only exists in iPhone 7 models containing the Qualcomm modem (Verizon, Sprint) versus the Intel modem sold for all other carriers?

In that test case, if you fall off Verizon LTE on an AT&T/Intel phone, you should see No Service, where the Qualcomm phones will drop to 1x/3G. That would make the problem specific to Verizon (carrier software, tower software, etc.).
If you never fall off LTE on an AT&T phone, that would mean it's a Qualcomm specific issue, although it could also be Verizon carrier software, tower software, etc.
You should be able to... you just won't get CDMA service, which is 1x/3G.Can't put the Verizon SIM into an AT&T phone, the new 7's don't come with the cdma built in. Only the Verizon specific model.

And I dunno guys. So far it looks promising for me. I'll let you know how the day goes for me.
LTE is not CDMA

I know that. I've never heard of a Verizon phone running LTE only.
has anyone logged this with apple as well as Verizon?
[doublepost=1474911791][/doublepost]ok guys some good news:
just got a phone call followup from Verizon about this issue. they said over the past few days, the signal fluctuation issue has become more prevalent to them and are actively working on a fix. they stated they have two trouble tickets opened with apple on this and are actively working on a fix. there is no eta but its estimated to be sooner than later through a software fix.
the rep stated he was actually looking at this no service/1x/3G issue earlier today as there were a large number of people who called in about it. so I can say that Verizon and apple are DEFINITELY aware this is a widespread issue, and not just us and are actively working on a fix for us. they believe its an apple related software issue, not their network but are investigating.
Glad to hear!! What have you done??So I just drove to work. Zero issues on the way in. Same results as last night. Nearly full signal LTE most of the highway trip. Zero drops, no 3G or 1X. In fact I'm now sitting in the parking garage where yesterday I had two dots, now I have full signal LTE. So my case has definitely improved.
lol....maybe try reading a few pages on the thread?Glad to hear!! What have you done??
