Do a search on Twitter "No Service"

I know it's on twitter, but the media is not picking up on this. Yet there are plenty of news article about the iPhone 7 drilling a headphone port hoax. When the guy who created the bendgate videos, within a day is was an article on this site and many others.

News must be in apple's payroll nowadays
[doublepost=1475023893][/doublepost]Does anyone know if any other manufacturers are using this Qualcomm modem?

So far for me its been very good no more 3G or no service. I did the turn HD voice off and on trick and its been perfect for me.

Problem with turning off hd voice(VoLTE) is that you also lose data while on a call, and you lose wifi calling, both of which I really need.

I've had my phone replaced and been on the phone with vzw over and over again, they need to fix this thing.

So I went to my local apple store and I ended up talking to a manager and he said apple knows that some phones are having connectivity issues and that the next iOS update should fix it, but I don't know if it's true or not. Has anyone tried to install the iOS 10 beta on their phones ?

I believe others have done the beta and it's still exhibiting the issues. Believe it's going to take a carrier update(currently on version 25.1) not an iOS update.

I turn HD voice back on though...

I'm on the 10.1 beta with the 25.5 carrier version and still experience the signal loss.

I just turned it back on for a 20 min drive home through a major metropolitan area(Baltimore md) and it lost service, so turning it on and off doesn't seem to change anything. I also did the turn off hd voice, network reset, then turn hd voice back on....still "no service" a short time later.

So I just spoke with Verizon's level 2 tech-support tech "Rachel". Of course she claimed they've never heard of this before. It's probably just a few bad phones she said. Wow. I'm at a loss for words.

FYI, I have been making progress with Apple Developer Relations through a ticket I filed through our Enterprise account.

I'm turning off my Wi-Fi tomorrow and collecting some logs.

[doublepost=1474943854][/doublepost]For those curious... here's what I just loaded on my phone.

Let us know what they tell you. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

When I've been speaking to Verizon over the last couple days, I went in armed with data and references to this issue and they immediately folded, talked to others and stated that yes, this is a widespread and known issue. I think they are trained to act as if they've never heard of an issue so as not to open the floodgates.

Keep hammering on Verizon, they need to know that we are aware of this widespread issue and it needs to be fixed. I don't see how they could continue selling this phone with such a serious issue. They have to know about it, they don't want to issue a stop sell and lose sales to other carriers whom don't seem to have this issue.

My phone is running 10.1 beta 1. I have restored it using the .IPSW, and still I'm still experiencing signal loss.

I called Apple Support the lady I spoke with didn't know it was an issue, she kept insisting I call Verizon. After explaining everything to he she ended up scheduling an appointment at an Apple Store for me.

Edit:
I didn't restore from backup
iPhone 7 Plus 256GB (Verizon)

Just wanted to let you guys know I got a quasi-acknowledgement of the data issue from an Apple engineer today. The problem is that the acknowledgement included: a suggestion to get a new SIM card (something I've already done numerous times and something he knew I'd already done numerous times); the old Apple failsafe of wiping the phone and not restoring from a backup; contacting Verizon. Suffice it to say I don't think either side really intends to do anything about this.

But this is a world wide problem not just with Verizon.

Ugh, I originally had my sim replaced, then they got me a new iPhone 7, same problem, numerous wipes, recoveries, nothing has worked. They need to acknowledge the issue and fix the damn thing.

As my earlier post I illuded to slowness caused by sluggish data deliver, today I experienced the same even though I had decent LTE coverage...

On my drive home I had two bar of LTE and opened a few apps and it told me to check my internet connection. I drive the same way every day and have never experienced this. This is what everyone is reporting, but has anyone experienced it while on LTE?

As well I notice a few apps are losing my cached login, so it requests I login again, I'm assuming it's because of the mis-handling of the login process and poor data coverage related to this issue.

Which carrier?

Apple loves to make any problem ultimately about user error, and they've chosen to hide behind faulty backup restores for years. I can't recall ever having a problem with an iPhone that was resolved by not restoring a backup. That said, I am curious if anyone here has experienced the poor LTE/data connectivity issue with the iPhone7 or 7+ without using a backup.

- iPhone 7+ 256G
- iOS 10.1 beta
- Verizon 25.5
- Replacement from "No Service" 7+
- Turned HD voice off before activating
- Turned HD voice on after restore from backup

First drive this morning, 25 miles, 1hr.

So far so good. Never lost signal where I lost it twice and was using Waze. There were even some areas where the 7+ showed more dots than my work 6.

So update on mine...

Drove from my house in NJ to JFK Airport, dropped 3x, same issue 1x/3g, stays on 3g and struggling to go back to LTE.

In Terminal 7, dropped 5x in a span of 15 mins.

Verizon/Apple better get their heads together on this one.

Considering it's prevalent in other parts of the world and on different carriers, I think it's more of an iOS issue or it's bundled carrier settings.

I've tried with and without a backup, same issue.
