Exchanged mine at Verizon as yesterday was my last day and fingers crossed I've had zero dropouts holding strong signal I restored from an iCloud backup I've tried all the known areas it's been happening and it's been holding lte

I don't mean to be pessimistic but I don't think a return will resolve the issue. Keep us posted though.

I figured it was worth a shot the manager at the store said he's heard about the issue he even said might as well try so I figured nothing to lose

You are absolutely correct. I'm right there with you. I was at the Apple store and the guy said, you can turn in the phone and wait for this mess to blow over. I've already exchanged my phone at the Apple store so it did extend my return date to Oct 8th.

Going on 24 hours and not had the issue since exchanging at Verizon worst case scenario more exchanges more attention to the issue which will make a quicker fix

well you got lucky, my replacement iPhone 7 + I got from apple still has the issue.

I got a new phone from Apple last week after returning my old one and had the same issues.

Did you get a refurb or new?
I am not sure it was in a white box, and they had to order it and it took a week, besides at this point since these phones are so in demand there is a very slim chance of getting a refurb at this point.

That's a refurb if it didn't come in a retail box

White box phones aren't necessarily refurbs. They are just replacement devices that come with no accessories and aren't for retail sale.

I will wait for a few pretty sure it is software related.... took me too long to get my jet black beauty

I was able to successfully recreate the issue today while driving around town while logging my activity using the Telephony Logging Profile Apple sent me! I just got off the phone with my Apple Senior Advisor and uploaded the log files.

Hopefully this info will help Apple engineering get to the bottom of this issue!

Details:

Issue occurred on 10/1/2016 from 13:06 – 13:09 Mountain Time

13:06 – Phone dropped from LTE to “no service” while sitting at a traffic light. My wife was in the vehicle and her iPhone 7 (also on Verizon) displayed 4 bars of LTE at this time.

13:07 – still “no service”

13:08 – phone went from “no service” to 3G and stayed on 3G for probably 30 seconds to 1 minute

13:09 – phone eventually went back to a strong 4-5 bars of LTE while sitting in the same place as when I experienced the “no service” dropout.

Exchanged 3x, no difference. Although since last mid-week LTE has improved while driving, but I still lose LTE and the connection is not as solid it says

Just cancelled my appointment with apple in hopes that a fix is released. No point to go in and get a new phone if it's a software issue.
