I installed iOS 10 beta 2 and drove around for an hour. The problem for me appears to be fixed. My signal strength was steady and I did not have any loss of the signal. While stationary at home the signal strength stays the same. Before it was all over the place.

maybe its a software fix like they did with the iphone 4 when they made it appear more bars than it was lol

Ha I forgot about that, they recalibrated the bars to respond better to terrible signal...

this is why I think people in this thread are too optimistic about Apple 'fixing' the problem, they have a very public history of whitewashing their mistakes and not ever FIXING the problem

[doublepost=1475696787][/doublepost]I've been following this since the beginning. I've been experiencing the same dropped signals as everyone here. Let me first start off I live in Manhattan NY. I just spent 24 hrs in the suburbs of Milwaukee Wi. I was at a meeting in an auditorium on a lower level of a corporate complex. Not once had the signal dropped. Even in the car rides. Something has to be up in the NYC area. When I land it will be interesting to see how the signal reacts

i remember those days.

Advanced LTE is carrier aggregation, which is combining multiple bands to get a faster connection. -- my interest then becomes does shutting off VoLTE disable the "advanced LTE" technologies?

edit: i was completely wrong on my original post... removed.

It is something unique with the network in NYC and some other areas of the country. I was visiting NYC last week and had this issue consistently all around NYC. When I arrived back in my hometown of ATL, the issue disappeared.

So all of us are eligible for complimentary Beats Solo3? o_O

How high up management did you have to go up to complain to before this was even offered? I couldn't even get a comped 3.5mm-lightning adapter

that lends significant credence to the fact that this is a network issue, not a hardware one.

My belief is it's been a combination of Verizon and Apple improving the overall issue. First week with my iPhone 7 was horrendous. The next one was an improvement in that I only got one no service drop, and only experienced 3G service in areas that I knew to be good for LTE. So, something was being improved on the Verizon network while I was still on 10.0.2. And since installing 10.1 beta 2 yesterday, it's been stable on LTE.

Actually, it lends credence it's a iPhone 7 software issue with certain specific network configurations.

don't we all share the same network configuration on our phones? otherwise I would need to download a new network file when i arrive at atlanta. that doesn't seem correct?

Just to clarify you're testing beta 2 with a T-Mobile iPhone 7?
That's great news for us T-Mobile users who are still experiencing issues.

I'm talking about Verizon network configurations. Verizon operates on different combinations of frequency bands in different areas of the country.

Yes I am on T-Mobile and the phone seems to be working perfectly now. Anyone having problems should at least try the beta 2 update.
