I've been having issues since I got my 7+, running iOS 10.1 beta 1. When I had my 6s, I never lost service no matter where I'd go, I always had solid LTE. Now with my 7+, I get mostly 3G & 1x. Since I've updated to iOS 10.1 beta 2 yesterday, I haven't had a problem up to now. A solid LTE connection.

I thought a few threads back some users said the B2 didn't resolve the issue. I'm confused...

My phone seems to be getting worse instead of better lately. For a while, I was getting the No Service issue, just the LTE to 1x to 3G issue. Over the past 24 hours, I have got No Service at least 4 times.

I have a Verizon 7+ 128GB on 10.1 Beta 1. Waiting for the public release of Beta 2

You should get it later today. Hope it works as well for you as it is for me so far.

I wouldn't jump to conclusions with a beta resolving this issue. I went 3-4 days where I thought the issue went away, but since Monday it's been happening 5+ times a day.

I spoke to VZ yesterday and the technical support rep claimed that they never heard of this issue. Got a call back today and it is a known issue and that they are working with Apple on a solution and expect the update in the next week.

I'm more talking about the updated Carrier settings in this Beta rather than the Beta itself.

Just spoke w Verizon support. Person I spoke with didn't offer any solutions beyond what's already been stated but she acknowledged its a big, known problem that Verizon & Apple are working on.

I think it does fix the issue. I am currently at a location in Phoenix where I usually got a low signal on my 6s and would periodically drop to 3G. Right now, my 7 has 3 dots of LTE, while my iPad Air 2 has only 1 (but is still working fine with tethering). I am waiting a few days to see if VoLTE works as it used to (no issues during the calls or dropped calls).

I started having this issue with my 6s with iOS 9 a few weeks before the 7 was released. Verizon told me my phones modem was to blame and offered to replace it. I told them I would wait until the 7 was released since I was on the iPhone upgrade program. Now that I have the 7 I do not get the same No Service issue, but phone calls sound bad. Almost like talking in a tunnel. No resolution has worked for me yet.

Not that I would expect it to be included in the release notes, but there is nothing related to connectivity that points to this issue in the iOS SDK Release Notes for iOS 10.1 Beta 2

I was wondering about that myself.

Maybe the fix is in the carrier settings that come down the pipe when you upgrade to 10.1 beta 2? So, technically, 10.1 Beta 2 doesn't fix it.
