Considering it has been fixed for others, is it possible it could've just been a case of you were in a location with bad service?Took the baby to the doctors today after installing beta 2 last night. Everything worked fine (2-3 dots of LTE in a know good coverage area) up until I left. I was out in the parking lot, got in the car and looked at the phone. It said no service. It stayed that way until I toggled cellular data off and on again and immediately picked up 3 dots of LTE.
So no, beta 2 does NOT fix the issue.
Or lets get refunded ?10.1 Beta 2 confirmed not working! Let's get our Solo3s!

I know in previous iPhones I've had toggling the airplane mode on/off has several times improved my connection when I was getting very slow or no service. This issue with the iPhone 7 seemed to be something caused by switching cell towers, especially when driving, which wouldn't line up with your doctor visit.
Who knows for sure, I'm just trying to stay optimistic that Beta 2 will fix this issue! After quite a few days with this phone, getting pretty tired of waiting on this fix! It's holding me back from completely enjoying the phone
...
and on a side note, I got Verizon to credit me $20 just for asking because of the disruptions of service. I bet that would get the fire under their ass if we all started having credits issued like candy.
So a side by side test?Okay so time for me to chime in has 7plus and 7 with 10.0.2 both had the 3G problem same area same thing happen. Downloaded new beta on my 7plus so carrier update is 26.0 and left my 7 on 10.0.2. Good news is same testing and problem is fixed for me on my 7plus on carrier update 26.0 while in the same area my 7 is on 3G and my 7plus is on LTE. Before my 7plus in the same area was on 3G now it's not. So so far so good with beta on 7plus. (All this with both phones on Verizon)
So far so good. This morning no losing GPS then going "no service" in areas where it always did. Over last 3 weeks would drop 10 times in 1/2 hour drive. None this morning. Time will tell
no more problems this evening. That's 24 hours with no losing GPS then going "no service" in areas where it always did.
At least for me 10.0.2 beta Verizon 26 is working.
I find this so strange. Last week I had this issue constantly with Volte on. So, taking advice from a member here, I turned it off. The problem went away.
This week I decided to update to the new beta. I performed the update and then turned VoLte on and now I have 0 issues. Everything is working great. It's only been about 1.5 days. But the iPhone 7 plus on vzw has been great.
On a side note, I called Apple today, the Apple senior Rep got on the phone and we spoke to vzw together. Vzw is sending out a new phone (jet black 7+. Brand new, not a refurb) just to cover their butt.
Not to burst your bubble, but my phone was "working" last week. No issues of no service or huge network dropouts. Randomly happened today. So it's up in the air man.
There is no 10.2 beta, but there is a 10.1 beta 2.Is it worth updating to 10.2 beta?
I'm on beta 2 with 26.0 in NYC on a 7+ 256GB. Overall the beta has dramatically improved LTE uptime and I now even have service in some places in the subway that I never did before with my 6. However, an issue that I experienced with the 6 still persists; whenever I exit the subway in Brooklyn after losing service underground I regain service but only 3G service which is practically no service with Verizon. I have to resort to toggling airplane mode to get LTE back which is rather frustrating.
Still no issues since upgrading to iOS 10.1 beta 2. I'm becoming more convinced it's fixed the issue. But with iOS 10.1 public beta 2, the issue seems to be fixed (Carrier 26.0). Commute this morning had no issues. That's a very good sign. Eager to see if it keeps up. I'm cautiously optimistic that beta 2 has fixed the issue.
