Took the baby to the doctors today after installing beta 2 last night. Everything worked fine (2-3 dots of LTE in a know good coverage area) up until I left. I was out in the parking lot, got in the car and looked at the phone. It said no service. It stayed that way until I toggled cellular data off and on again and immediately picked up 3 dots of LTE.

So no, beta 2 does NOT fix the issue.
Considering it has been fixed for others, is it possible it could've just been a case of you were in a location with bad service?

I know in previous iPhones I've had toggling the airplane mode on/off has several times improved my connection when I was getting very slow or no service. This issue with the iPhone 7 seemed to be something caused by switching cell towers, especially when driving, which wouldn't line up with your doctor visit.

Who knows for sure, I'm just trying to stay optimistic that Beta 2 will fix this issue! After quite a few days with this phone, getting pretty tired of waiting on this fix! It's holding me back from completely enjoying the phone

Just got back from Apple. The genius told me it's a known issue and that if I experience issues with my connection to toggle Flight mode on and off.

He wasn't sure if it was a software issue or hardware. I asked what will happen if i keep having problems, the response was that it will be covered under warranty if it's a hardware issue.

Apple Twitter support wants me to restore the phone. No thanks. This needs to be publicly acknowledged by Apple or Verizon.

Imagine if you rely on navigation for work ...

I was just using 3 dots of LTE inside the doctors office just before I got in the car. so when I went outside it hit no service. plus its a known good LTE coverage area.

I haven't seen no service or 1x/3g for a week, you didn't see me claiming maybe it was fixed lol. I won't consider it fixed until release notes or a statement claims it is. theres too many variables for people on the forums to make that claim. if its "fixed" for some, but not everyone, then thats not really a fix.

I won't, however, discredit the idea that it could be network or market dependent. I could be having non stop issues here in NJ, while you in TX can have none. it could be network issue effecting certain markets with certain bands or coverage areas.

and on a side note, I got Verizon to credit me $20 just for asking because of the disruptions of service. I bet that would get the fire under their ass if we all started having credits issued like candy.

I find this so strange. Last week I had this issue constantly with Volte on. So, taking advice from a member here, I turned it off. The problem went away.

This week I decided to update to the new beta. I performed the update and then turned VoLte on and now I have 0 issues. Everything is working great. It's only been about 1.5 days. But the iPhone 7 plus on vzw has been great.

On a side note, I called Apple today, the Apple senior Rep got on the phone and we spoke to vzw together. Vzw is sending out a new phone (jet black 7+. Brand new, not a refurb) just to cover their butt.

I also got Verizon to give us some credits. Between this loss of service issue, my LTE Network Extender not working with the iPhone 7 (neither of our iPhone 7 phones will connect and we've had a ticket open for 2 weeks - our iPhone 6S phones connected fine), and an outage in our area the other day that prevented me from being able to call several landline numbers, I got some nice credits applied to my account. They initially offered me $20, but I told them that was unacceptable. :)

Okay so time for me to chime in has 7plus and 7 with 10.0.2 both had the 3G problem same area same thing happen. Downloaded new beta on my 7plus so carrier update is 26.0 and left my 7 on 10.0.2. Good news is same testing and problem is fixed for me on my 7plus on carrier update 26.0 while in the same area my 7 is on 3G and my 7plus is on LTE. Before my 7plus in the same area was on 3G now it's not. So so far so good with beta on 7plus. (All this with both phones on Verizon)

So a side by side test?

Had the same issues since day 1 , received a new phone, same issues and since B2 installed no major issue and not 1 network related issue.

So far so good. This morning no losing GPS then going "no service" in areas where it always did. Over last 3 weeks would drop 10 times in 1/2 hour drive. None this morning. Time will tell

no more problems this evening. That's 24 hours with no losing GPS then going "no service" in areas where it always did.

At least for me 10.0.2 beta Verizon 26 is working.

Not to burst your bubble, but my phone was "working" last week. No issues of no service or huge network dropouts. Randomly happened today. So it's up in the air man.

If it's been great why exchanging?

I never said it's resolved, just said after updating to the new beta good service for 1 day. I have no expectations it will continue.

I'm on beta 2 with 26.0 in NYC on a 7+ 256GB. Overall the beta has dramatically improved LTE uptime and I now even have service in some places in the subway that I never did before with my 6. However, an issue that I experienced with the 6 still persists; whenever I exit the subway in Brooklyn after losing service underground I regain service but only 3G service which is practically no service with Verizon. I have to resort to toggling airplane mode to get LTE back which is rather frustrating.

I had some slowness when opening some apps. For example, CNN would take a few more seconds to open. There might be a few glitches but nothing that made me not like the beta. I reverted back to 10.0.2 for the time being. I want the official fix from Apple/Verizon. I shouldn't have to run a beta on my PRIMARY phone for it to work appropriately.

How do I update to 26.0?

But with iOS 10.1 public beta 2, the issue seems to be fixed (Carrier 26.0). Commute this morning had no issues. That's a very good sign. Eager to see if it keeps up. I'm cautiously optimistic that beta 2 has fixed the issue.
Still no issues since upgrading to iOS 10.1 beta 2. I'm becoming more convinced it's fixed the issue.

This was a constant problem with my iPhone 6, which I had for two years. I'm not aware of a fix, it's just slow to grab LTE until it decides that's a better tower to grab. AP mode forces this.

iOS 10.1 Beta 2 (14B67) shows a lot of promise, but the issue is not fully rectified.

Since I got my iPhone 7 // 256gb // Verizon 26.0 // Modem Firmware 1.24.00 --> The Lincoln Tunnel into NYC would always send me into 3G / 1X / No Service mode...and it would stay that way even outside of the tunnel and up the Port Authority's ramps.
  1. Today I had LTE the entire length of the Lincoln Tunnel into NYC! (y)
  2. I've accepted No Service on the #1 Subway headed downtown at 33rd Street...
  3. I would typically reacquire LTE on the platform getting off at 28th Street, or as I walk up the stairs...but today 1X stuck even while I was above ground just standing at the corner of 7th Avenue (n)
    • It did NOT pick up LTE when I turned Cellular Data off/on (n)
    • It did pick up LTE after I toggled Airplane Mode off/on...
