There are beautiful. Did you take them straight from the stock camera app or elsewhere?

Thanks, I used Pro Camera 8 in DNG mode. The tones were pretty much already there, I just went with this workflow to get the best detail and sharpness.

I have just one question regarding the Portrait Mode, Does it work with full body pics?...Would be very practical for me as a fashion blogger...not always carry the camera with me.

This is what im referring to:

Please if someone with the 10.1 beta can shoot something like that or just saying it can be done I would appreciate it. Thanks!!

Not trying to compare the sexy model in your pic to the stuffed monkey in mine....but if you see my post one page above, you can see how the bokeh effect works. It's shows a stuffed monkey against some items in the background. The shot was taken in low-light conditions without a flash. But I think it has done a decent job for a phone and for a feature that's still in beta.

I will still try to take a shot like the above (with a real person) tomorrow :)

Is that one of your photos? Nice!

If I was a fashion blogger,( hah!-- I'm scared of "the get that ****ing lens out my face before I call the cops" reaction) , I'd be really concerned with how the iPhone handles texture. I've seen quite a few decent pictures here, but I've also seen photos where something just isn't right about the fur, or the cloth, or the feathers...

Is not mine, I just took the first images off Google

Mostly for quick Instagram pics, nothing pro to a site/blog. Of course a smartphone camera won't replace the DRSL :)...Just curious to see how well it works in a situation like that since is the phone i'll buy.

I would be curious about this too. But it looks like the forum members are too busy to conduct favors for those who ask. It's hard to get anyone here to help: I often offer great photo advice, (aps, technique, etc.) and it just gets looked over. We will probably have to wait until the update comes out ourselves. Sorry to be so negative, hopefully someone will try.

I'd offer up but I am not too thrilled that the person asking lifted a photo by a known GQ/Vogue shooter for starters. I also have no interest in the software bokeh so I would not be the right person to help.

I tried it. The problem is you have to be within a certain distance - 8 feet I think. So you're not going to get a full body shot like that. I got one to work from the knees up. Oh, and it uses the zoom lens. Play with the camera - have someone stand 8 feet away. You'll see what I mean...

Quite surprised by this, the picture was taken at a time of day where it was getting dark - 45 minutes on from this picture and it was pitch black. I absolutely love the new camera and Beta software.

Am I seriously the only one with a problem? Everyone focuses on clarity, etc. but what about COLOR?

Mine is not reproducing 'real life' color. Green foliage is overly 'green' and bright. Yellow hosta look more green. Blue hosta leaves more green. My lawn is bright green and not true to what it really is. Tree bark is off, concrete is off.

My iPhone 6+ was far more accurate. These photos are all being viewed on 4k 27" iMac. What am I missing here?
