A few days ago. An evening by the river.

iPhone 7+ on left. iPhone 6+ on right. Of course the 6+ is more 'real'. I think my 7+ is defective. Spitting out really 'wrong' colors.

The first photo is taken with the regular camera mode. With I think still has great depth of field. Second photo take with the beta portrait mode. Though I know it's meant more for people it still has some glitches. It blurrs out some areas it shouldn't. But it's pretty cool. Will post more when I actually can go out and take some real photos. It's raining by me so I haven't gotten out much. You do need really really bright lighting otherwise it's very grainy.

Where did you take this picture?

Never mind. I see you are in Minneapolis. I thought the skyline looked familiar. 35W, right?

handheld or tripod?
Handheld. Just a point and shoot with minor adjustments. That photo wasn't edited in any way. Used the telephoto lens and messed with the lighting a bit.

I realize there is an App forum, but with the focus (pun intended) of this thread on photography, I'd like to hear some feedback on the better photo apps with more control.
ProCam 4 offers a lot of controls as far as ISO, white balance, etc. Even has a RAW mode (which gives you a .dng file).
Here's one I took with ProCam 4 with my 6S. I was a RAW file. I did a litttle post editing in photoshop to give it more vibrance

Oh nice! I'll look into it, reviews seem mixed but thats not necessarily a deal beaker. Anyone else?

Thanks!
Check out VSCOcam and Snapseed as well. I know Snapseed has a lot of controls and can open RAW. Don't think VSCO supports RAW yet but I think it's a great app

I AirDropped a collection of sample photos from one of the demo units in-store to my phone, would it be worth uploading them somewhere for people to examine? (Actually, is that even allowed?)

It seems they're a mix of photos from the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, although at least one of them appeared in the iOS 10 keynote which took place before the iPhone 7 announcement, so it may have been taken on an iPhone 6s.

I'm wondering: do you guys think that 3rd party apps will ever get access to the portrait mode? Would be so awesome to be able to use custom bokehs and output raws..

Is there a way to post full photos (12mp) even if the size is 3.8mb??? Frustrating that I can't because the server can't handle it..even though it says max size is 4.9mb!!!
