Taken during an offspring concert in Philly. Obviously was dark outside with lots of bright lights. Only editing was applying a filter from the stock photos app.

That is amazing. I'm excited now. This is definitely better than any of the flower pics I got with my S7 edge. Did you use the optical zoom or is it just a macro shot?

I was using the 2x optical zoom, though EXIF data doesn't appear to reflect that, at least on Flickr.

Upon further experimentation, it appears that the 2x zoom is not optical zoom at macro range (it also seems to be affected by low light, based on other threads). That makes perfect sense really, longer lenses (dedicated macro lenses aside) pretty much always have a longer minimum focus distance. That also explains the EXIF data. Some very unscientific futzing around seems to indicate that the longer lens can focus maybe 1 meter away, maybe a little closer.

Here is a photo of a water tower using ProCamera 8 I selected raw on this and processed it as a raw file. Photos are so much sharper and cleaner looking one photograph with raw. This was done with the 2X telephoto by the way. Since there is an issue with me uploading photos to this thread or to this forum, I keep getting yours stating that the system cannot handle the file.

Here is a Nother processed raw file using Adobe Photoshop light room for the iPhone app

Camera+ and Cortex are both $3.99.

If you had to choose only one to buy, which one would it be and why?

Well first picture was taken in lower light conditions since the sun was already below horizon. Normal iPhone 6 Plus pictures are more noisy unless you use a long exposure.

Also, regular iPhone pics are nowhere near the detail of these ones since these are 12mp low noise pictures while regular picture from 6 plus are 8mp. That indoor picture of the dome would normally produce more noise when zooming in than it does here.

In fact, there is enough detail in the bottom picture that you can zoom in on the gazebo without loosing detail. Enough detail to crop and print.

Well....ok, but I was really asking the other guy about the "incredible" statement...

The term incredible is a pretty lofty statement to make about *any* photograph given how high the true bar is in the world of photography. So even if the resultant images have somehow managed to break new technical ground within it's genre of cameras such as an iphone, to have the term incredible be relevant and not over-enthusaistic / misplaced, it would have to also be a simply amazing set of photographs based on mesmerizing content brilliantly seen and photographed in addition to those technical virtues.

These images being incredible from either a technical or a content standpoint.....?....not so much.

Wow! Now these really are great pics.

Can't wait to try this Cortex app. Was pretty dehyped about getting the phone after seeing real world shots taken with the iP7+ cam, but this has me perked up again!

Oh yeah, need the phone to arrive first o_O

Another one to add is ProCam this one lets you manually switch lenses no matter what the light is like, even gives a nice haptic feedback to let you know.
