I'm waiting on this, I will be interested to see what they do with the UK pricing though, we usually get ripped off. $399 should be £325 roughly. But I expect it to be at least £399 maybe even £450. The 8 is currently £479 if it releases at £479 they can stick it and I'll bite the bullet and go android.
There are also rumours it will feature the a10 to keep costs down. If this is the case is there really any point me upgrading from my 7+?
Does anyone think the price of the iPhone 11 will drop at all when the SE is released?thanks 😊
The original iphone Se (16gb)was sold for £379 here in the UK on launch and $399 in the US, but the pound is lower in value now so the new Iphone SE2 will probably be £430/$399 on launch. There is no real logic in Apples UK pricing though, as the Galaxy S20 starts at 999$ in US and £800 pounds in the UK which is around the right exchange rate value.I'm waiting on this, I will be interested to see what they do with the UK pricing though, we usually get ripped off. $399 should be £325 roughly. Then Samsung's selling the S20 cheaper in UK than US as they're taking the tax hit.The original iphone Se (16gb)was sold for £379 here in the UK on launch and $399 in the US, but the pound is lower in value now so the new Iphone SE2 will probably be £430/$399 on launch. Also it definitely will not have an A10 processor, but the current A13 Bionic chip.

US pricing doesn't include sales tax. $399 + 20% VAT = $478.80
Advertised prices in the US do not include sales tax.I dont know about tax hit, but as of right now on currency converter $1000 = £813, so Samsung are selling the S20 in the UK at the correct exchange rate. By this logic Apple should sell the Iphone 11 pro in the UK for the same amount right? But they dont for whatever reason. Maybe its because of the perception of lower numbers make the product look inferior/less exclusive to customers in Apples eyes?
So the rumors are that they plan to replace the iPhone 8 with... an iPhone 7?There are also rumours it will feature the a10 to keep costs down. If this is the case is there really any point me upgrading from my 7+?
Rui no onna, i know that the US pricing does not include VAT but you have to admit there is a pricing disparity between Apple and Samsung pricing. Galaxy S20 is £800 inc VAT in UK and $1000 in the US. Iphone 11 pro is £1,050 in UK inc VAT and $1000 in the US. US prices dont inc VAT which is on average %7.25 at the higher end. I hope you can see my point. Dont get me wrong i love my Apple products, but us UK customers are getting ripped off big time!Advertised prices in the US do not include sales tax.
As far as I'm aware, that £800 you mentioned already includes 20% VAT meaning price without VAT is £667 or ~US$820 which is less than the $999 US pricing.
Sales tax where I live is 10.25%.Rui no onna, i know that the US pricing does not include VAT but you have to admit there is a pricing disparity between Apple and Samsung pricing. Unlikely, IMO, as the new SE will be replacing iPhone 8 (the entry line) and iPhone XR/11 are in the mid-tier.
In UK its only 1In Europe we also get 2 year warranty as standard which in itself is easily worth few dollars
I am hoping today, Apple have typically done things on a Tuesday. Thursdays doesn't sound typical of Apple, I'm going for something today or next Tuesday.I’m guessing we should see this phone launch either today, or by Thursday of this week, otherwise I’d be surprised if it doesn’t launch by next week at the very latest. Obviously it will be a ‘silent release’ coupled with some demo video(s)/online marketing.
It will likely have the latest chip from the 11 and the main single lens camera, as the camera needs to hold up going forwards. If it gets left with old tech, Apple wouldn’t bother replacing the 8 in the line up.
