Can’t be bothered. Prove your point first, you started the post spouting your own beliefs as fact. You’ve been proved wrong, so instead of making up more lies and stating them as fact, go and prove the SE is worse than the 8.

In the photos I’ve sent, because I can’t go outside, you can clearly see detail in the bobbles on the eyes, the body and fluff on the flocked material from the SE. You cannot see it from the 8.

i've already proved my point. i said that apple were going to be as cheap as possible and when someone said the hardware of the iphone se camera was different from the 8, i said it means that apple must have been ever cheaper than i thought and used lower quality material than the iphone 8 camera. anandtech confirmed that on their review site which u haven't even bothered to read.

I read it when it was released. Want to explain the pixel pitch difference to me? No... you can’t.

Anyway, outside, SE first picture, 8 second...

Anandtech review indicates the SE2 produces less focused images while the iPhone 8 is sharper. Any other review sharing full resolution images from both cameras?

Full resolution images for comparison:
iPhone 8
iPhone SE

already pointed out the exact same thing, these guys don't get it though. Other good reviews in the next 2-3 days should show the same results

And every other review finds differently.

So far there's almost no other review that compares the iphone se to the iphone 8. the other reviews all compare se to iphone 11 and that comparison is pointless as everyone knows the se will take worse images than the 11

So you’re just going to ignore the reviews showing the SE taking pictures better than not only the 8 but the Xr?

And mine is proof that their review was wrong, the same with Rene Ritchie who tested against all iPhones and the Pixels, and various others.
Faulty camera, wrong settings, wrong way around when comparing. Could be anything. I don’t hear anyone on these forums complaining?!

And if you zoom to another part of photo (8 left, SE right) you will see other results...
Probably bad application of smart hdr in left. Or bad cooperation new isp with older lens.
XR had yellow stripes with smart hdr problem and you can say that have worse camera than X. I'm pretty sure that camera will be better than 8 and XR.

I'm sorry, didn't see it was a zoom one. My bad

i know reading is difficult so here's the photo from anandtech with the image. you'll need to look at the image using your eyes in order to see where my photo comes from (hint : it's the bottom left)

i've already told u what to do if u want to prove any point. you refused to do it.

You have two different zoom levels with different cropping, so I don't think that's valid comparison. But in terms of color temperature, yes, several reviews have noted the A13 systems produce warmer colors.

I just put pictures in 2 safari windows by side and take screenshot :D nothing pro. Only to show better sharpness or exposures in other part of photo.:)

Wrong. The xr camera was larger than the 8. The se camera is the same size as the 8, that’s confirmed on apples site
Same sensor sure, but the computing will be superior because of the A13. Smartphone camera technology is far from being solely based on the sensor

What's a "camera"? Is it just the optics, the sensor, the processor, the software or the whole package?

For better or for worse, the new SE is clearly not the same "camera" as in the iPhone 8. Even the Anandtech post mentioned earlier states in some situations, the picture quality was below the iPhone 8 (Anandtech speculates different optics) and in some situations, almost on par with the iPhone 11.

Make your purchase decision based on if the "camera" and the phone works for you within your budget.

Even they think their device might be faulty...

i hope they're right. if their replacement phone does not fix this issue then it's confirmed that the sensor has been sabotaged on the se.

To the guy above, yes i know in some cases the se takes better photos, notably in very low light. What i'm saying is that in normal conditions it captures details significantly worse just like the tech review said.

Why are you ignoring my photos?! The details are night and day compared to the 8. It’s clearly not sabotaged. Or I’ve got the best one they’ve made?!

In low light no ones really going to care, that’s not the common photo taking scenario but even then, they came out better when I tried them.

i already replied to you. you have 1 photo that contradicts their's but 1 photo isn't enough. try 3 (and not macro shots)

Hahahahahha, this is AWESOME!!!

So, what is he gonna say now? :)

Of course this was most likely the case as the pictures I've seen from a lot of users were nothing but impressive. Mine is already being restored from backup and I can't wait to try it :)
