Well done to the S6 and its proud owners for producing better pictures then, I applaud as a write. They both provide the user with good pictures at the end of the day and perfectly acceptable for printing up to A4. I have a couple of pictures framed on the wall of my daughter taken with an iPhone and nobody complains.No...it isn't, but the iPhone pics are smaller and lose detail easily when manipulated. Just so happens the S6 has a dramatically better sensor and larger photos to work with without losing detail and creating noise.
And no one is talking about DSLR. We are talking about smartphones. Conflating the two is pathetic deflection to sugarcoat Apple's performance lapse compared to the S6.
This isn't a subjective singular opinion either. It's a consensus.
Thanks for sharing those awesome pictures with us. Seeing Malaysia is on my bucket list! Thanks guys. Wish I could show you more but there are literally thousands of photos to sift through. I assure you, nearly all I've seen so far are stunning.
And yes, that was Cambodia and Malaysia. Amazing countries in many different ways. And all captured beautifully on an s6.

I'm glad at least they confirmed the s6 blows out the highlights more than the i6.Here is another review giving the nod to the S6 over the iphone.

Yeah...you say that but the article says different.I'm glad at least they confirmed the s6 blows out the highlights more than the i6.
Looking through my comparison shots, what makes the Galaxy S6 stand out to my eye is the restrained colours that are on show. Rather than force a huge amount of pop and vibrant color into an image, Samsung’s software now biases towards a more natural look.
And the conclusion? JK Shin was right, the camera on the Galaxy S6 (and the similarly equipped Galaxy S6 Edge) is not just a match for Apple’s iPhone shooter, but in almost every situation performs better.
You posted the article and I looked through the pictures; it's easy to see the i6 focuses on dynamic range differently than the s6 which can result in blown highlights.Yeah...you say that but the article says different.
From the article:
And yet......The S6 camera still beats the IP6 in almost all comparisons! You posted the article and I looked through the pictures; it's easy to see the i6 focuses on dynamic range differently than the s6 which can result in blown highlights.
As mr. Real Deal said above you guys ought to pat yourselves on the back that newer hardware barely beat older hardware. Bravo; well done Samsung! And yet......The S6 camera still beats the IP6 in almost all comparisons!

I feel exactly the same way! I have an IP6+ and love the phone. I think it has a great camera and having other cameras beat it will only spur Apple to make the next one better! In the end all of us benefit from competition between companies striving for our $$$I've got an iPhone 6 and the camera on this phone is the best I've ever owned, but it's pretty exciting that there are better cameras out there that will push Apple to improve.
So what about some of the high end Nokia devices that were beating the iPhone on picture quality in recent years? Is it a big deal to some because now it's Samsung doing it by any chance? It's not a big deal for everybody mate I hate to break it to you. Are people going to feel their device is inferior whether it's an iPhone or an LG because the S6 is proven better in this department.. Probably not.If you think a smartphone beating the iPhone on the camera front isn't a big deal,
I sense sarcasm here. Really? You're going to use this argument?
All we have to compare are current generation devices. How else can you compare anything? It would require two devices being released at the same time, then, wouldn't it? It's not impossible, but until that happens, what else can you do if you want to compare devices.
Also, do you make this same argument the other way around when the latest iPhone is beating competitor's older devices?
If you're really going to stand behind that above argument, why bother participating in this conversation at all? If you truly believe there can be no fair comparison because one device is always going to have older hardware, what's the point of comparing, and what's the point of engaging in this conversation? Either you truly believe that and this is all a waste of your time (then spare us because you're wasting our time, too); or you don't truly believe the above, and you're a sore loser.
And if your point is to say, newer hardware is "barely" beating older hardware, what experience do you have to quantify "barely" beating older hardware? Please, tell us of your extensive Galaxy S6 experience.
And to speak more broadly, the iPhone is getting beaten (be it barely or greatly) on a number of fronts by different competitors; it isn't just the camera. Screen. Battery. Software. Etc. And every time this is pointed out, it just sounds like your ego and bias can't take it.
BTW, the front facing camera? I don't think anyone could argue that the S6 "barely" beats the iPhone 6. A 1.2MP front camera is laughable this day and age.
I will say this at every opportunity I can: you're the worse type of Apple fan. Instead of recognizing that better competitors will and should push Apple to offer a better camera in their next iPhone, you're belittling the competition.
PS. Beating the iPhone in the camera department, by the way, is not a small thing. It's a big deal. For the longest time, one of the iPhone's strongest features was the camera. And, no doubt, it still is a spectacular camera. But to have it be beat, and then to have your typical Apple fan try to sarcastically downplay it and belittle it, well, goes to show it stings. It is a big deal that there is a better camera smartphone out there, and I believe Apple knows this. Hopefully we'll see them step up on this front in the 6S.

It's a great article for those who own an S6 and feel better about it for scoring higher than an iPhone but what's laughable in this thread is we've even had people talking about fact based on a consensus. Ask ten S6 owners and three iPhone owners what device has a better camera and opinions will differ with a majority vote in favour of the device in question. It's the same but undoubtedly with a different result if you placed this thread in another section on here. We can only comment from experience and accept the blind tests which we've done here. Shrug shoulders and high five eh?
Not surprisingly coming from you.someone who has never given the gs6 any credit where credit is due. From the best screen and best camera you have never giving the phone the respect it needs. Your biased against it and your just plain wrong on the gs6 camera.
Heck even in this blind picture test the gs6 pictures were getting 5000 votes vs 45 in some cases compared to the iPhone 6 and this was done blindly to kill any form of company biased views.
I'm betting if they said what pictures were from each phone the results would have been the opposite because people like you would vote apple until the end of time.
Was it you that kept asking on what color rgb calibration the gs6 screen was using and kept trying to find some drawback on the screen compared to LCD? Can you finally admit that Samsung's super amoled screens are the best screens in the world period?
Not best amoled,best screens period!
The gs6 has hands down the best screen and best camera on a phone period and its killing you inside to admit it.I honestly don't know why you post in this section.you have nothing but negative things to say about android and Samsung.

Anyway, to the OP, I haven't tried both phones so I can't provide a fair comparison but for the most part in those photos I honestly do think the S6 is doing a better job. There are some photos where I think the 6+ is better for white balance but overall I think I was happier with the photos from the S6.
