a better place
I don't think a single Samsung user ever put down other better camera phones.

That part is wrong ... I've been on enough forums and taken enough photos to know that there are always those that get overly passionate to the point of losing all objectivity. So yes many Samsung users have done that, but so have many Nokia, LG, HTC etc.. users. There are many users who will refuse to give any credit to anything else whether out of misguided belief or insecurity - but it happens and as I say isn't just Samsung or Apple users.

--------
But this topic has kind of run its course - its just turned into tit for that squabbling at this stage.

I'm just happy that phones I buy this year regardless of manufacturer will be better than the last and so forth. We need competition to drive improvements from all. We all benefit in the end regardless.

Personally I'm looking forward to both Note 5 & iPhone 6s/7 to see what they do camera wise (and I hope the dual camera rumor of iPhone turns out to be nonsense - after M7 & M8 I don't want to see a dual camera phone again)

Not surprisingly coming from you.someone who has never given the gs6 any credit where credit is due. From the best screen and best camera you have never giving the phone the respect it needs. Your biased against it and your just plain wrong on the gs6 camera.

Heck even in this blind picture test the gs6 pictures were getting 5000 votes vs 45 in some cases compared to the iPhone 6 and this was done blindly to kill any form of company biased views.

I'm betting if they said what pictures were from each phone the results would have been the opposite because people like you would vote apple until the end of time.

Was it you that kept asking on what color rgb calibration the gs6 screen was using and kept trying to find some drawback on the screen compared to LCD? Can you finally admit that Samsung's super amoled screens are the best screens in the world period?

Not best amoled,best screens period!

The gs6 has hands down the best screen and best camera on a phone period and its killing you inside to admit it.I honestly don't know why you post in this section.you have nothing but negative things to say about android and Samsung.

Very well said.

I want to point out to you in case you're unaware, you're also talking to a fella who has admitted he doesn't own the S6, and never will.

So in other words, he is talking from a point of ignorance. He literally won't grasp or understand or comprehend these advances -- be it camera, screen, or anything -- unless they come to the iPhone.

Rubbish MRU! You make every smartphone camera look good. You're not allowed to discuss camera quality in smartphones with us. =P

I don't really see what that has to do with it as I'm basing what I said on your posts.

My original quote is to i7guy.someone who will never ever own any other phone other than an iPhone.

I wasn't aware Nokias were beating the iPhone in camera comparisons. Have they been? There's something to be said about Apple's biggest competitor beating them versus Nokia beating them. I mean, iOS vs Android is bigger than iOS vs Windows. Samsung vs Apple is bigger than Nokia vs Apple.

Having said that, if Nokias have been beating them already in various comparisons and reviews and blind tests on similar scale that the current S6 vs iPh 6 is doing, then that's great. It just goes to show even more how Apple needs to step up their game on the camera front.

There was a time when the iphone was pretty much best everything in smartphones.

No longer. At this stage the iphone 6 would barely make my top 5 smart phones because it just lags on so many fronts.

Personally I want Apple to dig deep and make better iPhones. I want to consider the 6S and hope Apple makes a real effort this time around.

The S6 does have an amazing camera, best one I've ever used (and that's even against the 1520). I'd still be using it right now if it wasn't for the app crashes. >_>

I guess you missed the blind review tests where 5000 people were blindly picking gs6 pictures vs 45 people picking the iPhone.

And yes a 45mp Nokia phone will take sharper pictures in bright day light.I don't think a single Samsung user ever put down other better camera phones.
I guess you missed nearly all my posts here where I've agreed the S6 has a better camera.

My point all along has been that the iPhone certainly doesn't take poor photographs even if the S6 is superior in this department. It matters to some more than others as a bragging right it seems. You missed that point by a country mile.

MRU is a user I respect as he has good experience of both devices and is honest enough to state that both phones take very good photographs. I wish more people were like that and these threads would contain less tit for tat.

That's the type of discussion that indicates a loss of objectivity on your part. The s6 camera may have won a blind test but the android central article shows the i6 still holds its own. As far as everything else you wrote all rubbish.

That's true, life is to short to switch devices like cologne. That doesn't mean I don't get to use other devices And then can appreciate why I like the iPhone so much.

Great post, just what this thread needs a constructive user test! Thank you for sharing :)
Yes...because 5000 users in the blind test was not enough huh?
I have both phones as well I will take some pictures and post them later today. I think there is enough visual evidence in this thread with the pictures Epicrayban and others to provide all the evidence any non biased person could ever want. But I will add my own comparison. I will take pics with my 6+ and S6 and post them later today.

It is so revealing how a small few have been so put out by the general consensus around the world that the S6 camera is the best on any smartphone. Independent user tests and tech review sites and even Tom's Hardware which most ifans always lists as the defining tech blog for reviews all pick the S6 over the iPhone.

I am sure these same 2 people will be here making the same objections if the iPhone 6s is released and it takes the top camera crown. I am sure they be will here saying the same thing making the same objections in reversed.

Then there is the issue of objectivity. How can you constantly talk about and criticize phones or an OS you don't currently own or have current experience with?

Then there is the issue of bias also and lack of objectivity.

I haven't seen any s6 negativity on this forum as some may have claimed and, also some people have said the s6 camera is better by a hair.

I have seen posts that show/document the s6 camera is not flawless in every aspect and I believe the poster said the iPhone holds its own for an older model than the s6. So those posts were glossed over, which points to the bias rampant in some of these threads.

I really don't know what you do on this subforum apart of trying to start flame baits and criticise anything that is not from Apple.

That behavior has a name

So for objectivity sake what is your experience with the Galaxy S6? What kind of pictures does it take for you?
Care to post some side by side comparisons with an iphone for us? Do you have an iphone?

You are the only one saying the S6 camera is only better by a hair. The consensus in this thread is it is better by a great margin.

Can we see your side by side shots of the s6 vs i6? Androidcentral has a good comparo and a few posts up a forum user posted their side by side.

I would like to see some show and tell from your side of the house.

Talk about off topic posts trying to start a flame war. This is a prime example of what you say I am attempting to do. You'd be better off discussing the topic than the posters, which is at least what I attempt to do...even if you (and some others) don't like my opinions.

As does criticising posters rather than discussing the topic in hand. If people spent less time telling this guy where he is allowed or should post, these threads would flow a lot more constructively. People often fail to realise that accusing others of flame baiting within threads is doing just that themselves.

The thread has been interesting but sadly it has now run its course. :(
