I assigned the assitive touch to help me screen capture
How do you do that?I assigned the assitive touch to help me screen capture
Does doing this solve the OP's problem, (i.e. disables the regular method), or did you just want to share how you take screenshots?
How do you do that?
I tried that but it still takes a screen shot when pressing the power and vol up buttons.Hi mike
You go setting, general, accessibility and assistive touch
There are menus to assign commands on your assistive touch like the screen captured i took![]()
I tried that but it still takes a screen shot when pressing the power and vol up buttons.
It's ok maybe apple will address it or somethingI’m really sorry it didnt solve the problem
I thought it will override the previous settings, im dumb
same here I never had that issue on my 6+It's happened to me a few times and I've never taken screen shots before on my other phones intentionally.
My fingers naturally fall upon the volume up and power button when holding the X.Quite the opposite for me. In fact I don’t even understand how you’re all doing this by accident.
For me I find that I have to fumble slightly to take a screen shot. Finding the volume up button takes a slight bit of extra time. I actually wish they used the volume down button instead. That is so much easier to quickly find by just sliding up the side of the phone.
I dunno I guess I just hold my phone much closer to the bottom. Having my thumb and index or middle fingers way up there during normal usage just feels incredibly awkward and unsecure, like it’s just gonna slide right out of my hand. I mean just trying it right now, it literally does start to slide down, due to the weight and the stainless steel and glass being so smooth. I just can’t figure out what I’m missing here.My fingers naturally fall upon the volume up and power button when holding the X.
Perhaps your hand size (I'm not knocking you, just pointing out everyone is different) is such that that doesn't occur, but it seems many of us, it does
