iPhone X iPhone X - Accidental Screenshots

Drives me crazy. Poor design. Seems to happen daily. Should have done the upper volume button instead. Having them right across from each other facilitates it.
 
I take maybe one unintended screenshot a week. Not a big deal, but I did make a mental note about it.
 
accidental screenshots are because people hold their iPhone and press the power and volume button by accident

Side button should have been further down Question is would that be possible

I find it hilarious that I read this thread, thought “this doesn’t happen to me” and I then took my phone out of my case to show a friend the glass back, and this happened.

I just looked in my camera roll. LOL! Loads of pictures of my lock screen :confused:

Kindof a minor irritant, especially because it's never happened with my previous iPhones!

I'm guessing Tim Cook has loads in his camera roll too, so I guess I'll just see it as a 'quirk' until Apple find a way of addressing it :)

This happens to me quite a bit, especially when I try to turn up the volume with the phone sitting on a table. When I tap volume up button I naturally try to brace the other side so the phone doesn’t move. The other side happens to be where the lock button is. :mad:

Yes! It happens a lot and is annoying as hell! Apple needs to fix this by coming up with some other option for taking screenshots. As with other aspects of the iPhone X, they’re solution wasn’t well thought through.

This is by far the most annoying thing about the iPhone X for me. I've never accidentally engaged the screenshot button combo on previous iPhones, I do it at least twice a day with the X. Whether its removing it from my dock or pulling it out of my pocket, it's simply too easy to trigger.

I’ve seen other posts on this. The way I unlock my phone makes this virtually impossible. When I do want to take a screenshot, I have to look for the volume button and make an effort to press both.
 
I find myself having to delete at least a few unintentional lock screen screenshots every day. It does get very annoying.
 
I did the first few days I had it, since then barely any. Maybe was just getting adjusted to the way I hold it.

I see, so we're back to shades of the iPhone 4, and Steve Job's "You're holding it wrong"?
 
This is BY FAR the most annoying thing about my iPhone X. I’ll take a screenshot of my alarm snoozing. I’ll take a screenshot of my lock screen.

Although it can be easily deleted ... it’s annoying as anything.
